I ignored all debt collector letters and received a small claims letter in February. So far I have done the AOS, filled in the MCOL and sent the defence email to CCBC and I have filled in the N180 and sent back to excel and CCBC.
    What does this bit mean?

MCOL - the money claim online website. I filled in the AOS on there and then sent further details to CCBC - hoping I've followed the newbies thread correctly

Sounds like - AOS via MCOL, Defence as a pdf file attached to an email to the CCBC. Have you had an email acknowledgement of receipt of your Defence from the CCBC?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I received an Auto response acknowledgement as soon as I emailed them, then a couple of days later I received by post the N180 which I have filled in and posted back, one copy to Northampton CCBC and one copy to Excel, then yesterday I received a letter direct from Excel saying they are no longer using Elms legal and an offer to reduce to £195

    Have I missed anything?

Phew, that’s good, I thought, from what you said, that you had used the defence box on MCOL.

Hello, I'm back as I've just received Notice of Allocation to the Small Claims Track hearing to take place in August. I understand from the notice that I need to prepare a witness statement and send at least 2 weeks before hand. Is that all I need to prepare at this stage? Do I send this to both the court Office and Excel?

What is the information regarding the £27 on page 2?

    Thank you

All the help you require you will find in the NEWBIE sticky BUT yes, you must send witness statement, evidence and summary costs assessment (if you are applying for costs) to the court where the hearing is to be held, NOT the CCBC.  Read again the bit about the £27 - it is for the claimant ot pay, you are the defendant!

"There is very little parking around the area of campus I work in and so, for the past 15 years, I have been parking regularly on a driveway at the side of a university owned building along with 4 or 5 others.  It is a single driveway so we do park behind each other, effectively blocking each other in, but the agreement has always been to leave contact details with estimated time of leaving on our dashboards and we always move cars within 5-10 mins of being contacted. It has never been a problem and before Excel took over the parking, no tickets were ever issued."

Excel have been known to issue pcn's where they have no authority to do so. If you have appealed to IAS there may be a map of the area that they cover.
