the last couple of years l have been buying a late model low mileage car running it for a year putting eight thousand miles on it and then selling it for money back or in one case for £500.00 profit
so in answer to to the original question quoted below the value of a car with three previous owners went up by £500 over the car when it only had two previous ownersJust wondered how much 1 vs 3 previous owners would reduce the value of a car by?0 -

That is not like-for-like.
The comparison would have to be:
"at the date the car was bought with two previous owners, what would the price have reduced by if three previous owners"
OR
"at the date the car was sold with three previous owners, what would the price have increased by if only three previous owners".
Your conclusion that three previous owners is worth £500 more than two previous owners is flawed.0 -
