No theres a long history. End of the day, i'll let him keep it rather than knock on his door!
Gifting someone you hate an exercise bike seems an unusual move
It's the retailer who has given the surprise gift.

The OP is still waiting for his bike.

Maybe neighbour is now thinking in terms of storage fee's

Given the weather & possible size of item. It could well be sat outside getting very soggy due to the delay in picking up.

Except that the OP has no contractual relationship with the neighbour that would allow the neighbour to charge any such fees. ;)

(Well - they can charge - but the OP has no contractual obligation to pay them).

If I get left a delivery for a neighbour I drop it round to then rather than waiting for them to knock for it. Perhaps your neighbour will do that? It doesn’t make any difference how you paid or whether it was a prime seller or not. Our think you’re being a bit petty suggesting it gets collected a re-delivered.

For the future, perhaps a label for your doorbell 'Please do not leave parcels with neighbours'?

I'm not reading 5 pages and would be surprised if this hasn't been mentioned a dozen times but

SEND SOMEONE ELSE TO PICK IT UP

Presumably, the OP has a card from Evri/Hermes saying it was left with a neighbour?  So it would be dishonest to say there was no delivery.

Make one attempt to ask the neighbour for the item.  If the neighbour denies having it or there is no response then go straight back to the seller with this and claim non-delivery, being prepared to remind them that the courier's failure to deliver to the addressee is the seller's issue to resolve.

That attempt could of course be standing near their door and whispering...  then you can honestly say you have contacted the neighbour and got no response :)
I need to think of something new here...

If past threads are still relevant then the neighbour is in the flat below the OP.
