Delivery left with neighbour I HATE!

I know this is going to sound petty, but here goes.

I order quite regularly from Amazon and the deliveries are always left in my porch.

However I ordered an exercise bike and this was delivered by Hermes (Always have an issue with Hermes) who left with a neighbour who I despise. I Really really REALLY do not want to knock on his door to pick up my package.

I am a Prime member but this was not a Prime seller, it was dispatched by the seller. I paid with my Credit Card.

Can I request the seller to get Hermes to pick it back up and drop it off ay MY address ?

To answer your specific question - the retailer must deliver it to you, not a neighbour, unless you have opted for this.

Strictly speaking, this unfortunate seller should have delivered it to you personally or to an alternative authorised by you. That has not happened.
Amazon keep a tight rein on their marketplace sellers. If you simply say you have not received the bike I suspect they will send another one out. They may or may not try to make a claim from Hermes, depending on the nature of the B2B contract they have.

Your neighbour might be enraged that you have had a load of heavy junk sent to them and you have made no attempt to collect it.

I didnt see anywhere on the order page that specified the currier. If I was aware they where going to use Hermes, I would of not ordered. Almost every delivery I have with Hermes is an issue.

That's fair - the extremity of the situation didn't come over with your OP - especially with the reference to being petty, it sounded more like it was just someone you really didn't like. I would personally still bite the bullet and go and knock on their door though, as if they did take it in in spite - and you've knocked the door, and they refuse to hand it over, that would be a very different matter to deal with. As other's have said you could liase with Amazon to see what the options are.
