Delivery left with neighbour I HATE!

I know this is going to sound petty, but here goes.
I order quite regularly from Amazon and the deliveries are always left in my porch.
However I ordered an exercise bike and this was delivered by Hermes (Always have an issue with Hermes) who left with a neighbour who I despise. I Really really REALLY do not want to knock on his door to pick up my package.
I am a Prime member but this was not a Prime seller, it was dispatched by the seller. I paid with my Credit Card.
Can I request the seller to get Hermes to pick it back up and drop it off ay MY address ?

Your neighbour could have said no to taking it in, but didn't, so it's likely they hate you less than you hate them.So they'll be expecting you to knock and collect it. As much as you might really hate them for whatever reason - knock the door - be polite - collect your item - thank them - it'll all be over in minutes.Making a drama out of it will no doubt worsen neighbourly relations.20

I have a friend who has a neighbour they really hate and the neighbour hates them back - I mean they really just do not get on
one day my friend heard that the neighbour's dog had died. A couple of days later they passed in the street and my friend (who also has a dog) said sorry to hear about your dog and the neighbour seemed surprised but said thank you
Since then there has been no hatred.5 -
No theres a long history. End of the day, i'll let him keep it rather than knock on his door!0

To answer your specific question - the retailer must deliver it to you, not a neighbour, unless you have opted for this.2

Fair enough. if you're happy to write it off and take the loss over what would likely take 5 minutes to resolve with a clenched smile - make sure you order the next one from somewhere that offers a better delivery option for you such as DPD where you can specify where it gets delivered and which neighbours to avoid.

Maybe im not being clear. Police have been involved previously, we DO NOT get on. He will of taken it in spite.0

Strictly speaking, this unfortunate seller should have delivered it to you personally or to an alternative authorised by you. That has not happened.
Amazon keep a tight rein on their marketplace sellers. If you simply say you have not received the bike I suspect they will send another one out. They may or may not try to make a claim from Hermes, depending on the nature of the B2B contract they have.
Your neighbour might be enraged that you have had a load of heavy junk sent to them and you have made no attempt to collect it.1 -
I didnt see anywhere on the order page that specified the currier. If I was aware they where going to use Hermes, I would of not ordered. Almost every delivery I have with Hermes is an issue.0

I would personally still bite the bullet and go and knock on their door though, as if they did take it in in spite - and you've knocked the door, and they refuse to hand it over, that would be a very different matter to deal with. As other's have said you could liase with Amazon to see what the options are.
