So neighbour has a neat evergreen shrub that blooms a lot.
She's no gardener but thought it was myrtle. Just doesn't look like the myrtle I know.

The flowers look like my link above I think? Not 100% though x

The website in the link won't load the photos, but Vaccinium flowers generally are like little bells, whereas the ones on Twopenny's shrub look open with five petals...no idea what it could be though! :)

They do look like bells but I assume they then open? Oooo the plot thickens 🤣

    Thanks folks.
I had to look a few times but the leaves on my photo are longer, narrower and glossier. The also grow differently on the stem.
The one I showed has rosette type and the blueberry has them growing up the stem individually.
So the rosette growth may be a clue.....if only I knew what that was!

I have two myrtle shrubs, both quite different, both look a bit like this one. Are the leaves fragrant when you rub them?

Ahhh I don't know. It's 1c and wet outside and everyone's in so I don't think it's the time to sneak out and start rubbing my neighbours shrub leaves :)
But I will as soon as it's reasonable.
Using that and a lot of searching (who knew there were so many varieties) it does look like a Sweet Myrtle.
    What do you think

Yes! agreed - the flowers look right too if you goggle them - none shown in the link, which does, however, say that the fruits look like blueberries... nice looking plant, but too cold here I fear...

Next (rehetorical) question - where do I get one?
I tried to buy a Myrtle and with the multinationals taking over everything it's all much the same.
But this stays neat and tidy with no effort so I'm already enamoured :D
