That’s Myrtus communis Tarentina, and a happy one, with some sun but does require shelter.Fashion on the Ration

That did occour to me Fatbelly but I've created a garden from nothing over the last 4 yrs and I;m fed up with waiting for things to grow from tiny.Everyone thinks it would be wornderful to work from scratch but it's bdy hard work and every day I see them from my sofa still waiting for them to get to a decent size. But then I may do both

Myrtle is slow growing and takes years to reach any appreciable height. I planted a hedge of the stuff some 20 years ago, and some of it is barely 4 foot high.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Brilliant Sarah! That's it.
Sorry I didn't check before but it's been weirdly busy.
I put Tarantina Myrtle in images and I reckon that's hit the jackpot
Bit like a team quiz, it's everybody shoving a little in the right direction.

That is a very nice little shrub and I might have to track one down. If you want a gorgeous shrub that grows very fast then I recommend ceanothus with gorgeous blue flowers, (bought 5 years ago and chopped it to the ground every year when the flowers die off and it’s still massive, currently 6 feet tall!)1

Ah yes I know.
Bought one for£3 six inches high and it covered a fence in 18mts!
Good background though to the other plants.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
