En-suite bedrooms?

Would you ever buy a 3 bedroom house without en-suite?

I have. Maybe I am overthinking, as I live alone and rarely have staying guests.

Among all my relatives, I am the only one who's house does not have en-suite.

Would it be a deal-breaker for you during house hunting?

Maybe some people prefer not having en-suite anyway?

I've owned 3  3 bed houses. None have had an ensuite. To me, a downstairs loo is better, but not essential, especially if you have little kids.

No ensuite where I've lived until now and with only 2 bed and tiny I have one where my 3 bed neighbours don't. Crazy.
Most of the places around here don't unless it's big or family home.
Don't overthink. One less bathroom to clean  :)
My friend wanted to replace a whole new kitchen because someone said the toaster was too far from the table!!

Yes, an ensuite is way down the list of priorities.  we have one but rarely use it other than first thing in the morning but thats because we are too lazy to walk 5m.  downstairs wc gets used far more. many modern homes squeeze one in but they just make bedrooms small and the ensuite itself ends up being too small to be anything other than functional.

Do 3 bed houses even have an en-suite?  Unless a very big 3 bed, it sounds like a waste of space to me.  As someone else mentioned, a downstairs loo is useful.  I have an ensuite and I can't say we really use it.

Most 3 bed houses don't have an en-suite to the master bedroom around here unless they're new builds. Personally we have one and I'd hate to be without it but I don't think it would be a deal breaker for most people.

I am not a fan of en suites really.  I prefer to have the same number of bathrooms but all separate so they're equally accessible to everybody, without anybody having to tip-toe through somebody else's bedroom!

I always feel like en suites are less impressive than normal bathrooms too (maybe just the bog-standard family ones we tend to see when visiting!).  I suppose they're more likely to be poky, less likely to have a window and more likely to have manky old hairbrushes and damp towels lying around!

I think one bathroom (preferably with a downstairs loo as well) is fine for a 3 bedroom home.  I'd prefer to use the space that might have been an en suite as extra space in the master bedroom.  With 4 or 5 bedrooms, I'd expect a full second bathroom or it wouldn't be as functional for us as a family.

Whilst an en suite would be nice, a downstairs loo would be perfect & not just for kids.  If I can ever afford to move that would be very high on my list.

We bought a 4 bed house 30 years ago when our kids were small.  It has two separate full bathrooms and a downstairs loo.  No en-suite.  Our children have fled the nest and we are still here.  Two large bathrooms worked much better for a family than having the en-suite would have done.

En suites are still a fairly recent thing, and I suspect mainly done by developers to try and add value to the house. They seem to be put in for the sake of it, rather than actually being needed. ( Maybe if you  have loads of teenage kids always using the main one, but then they will probably just use the en suite anyway )

I don't really want to listen to someone going to the toilet, the noise from the flush etc... when i am trying to sleep.
