Well done, did you ask for and receive your costs, you would have had to take time off work, even for a virtual hearing?

I didn’t today, I was so overwhelmed. I had put it in my statement though.

They asked for costs. The judge said ‘what on earth for’ 🤣 I guess they had sent someone to represent them rather than themselves and now have to pay his fees. He was a very young chap and was fumbling throughout.

Yep they have to pay him for this debacle!

    WELL DONE!

ANOTHER UKPC ONE BITES THE DUST!

And please come back here in August to join us in changing the law.  This isn't a petition or similar 'pie in the sky' stuff.

It is nearly there.  I am heavily involved. The law is ready to go in 2024 to stop the greediest excesses in parking charges and fake 'fees'.

Read and bookmark the top 'sticky' thread by MSE_JC and you'll see fro the 2022 replies what I mean.  Some PPCs (with more money than consumer fairness genes) legally blocked the new statutory Code of Practice in 2022.

...and we can now finally push it over the line in August when the DLUHC publish the final Public Consultation.

    We need you!
    ...and your driving relatives!

We will stop this happening again.  Statutory regulation is almost here.

Just needs consumer voices.  The DLUHC will especially want to hear from motorists.

KeithP and Coupon_mad. You were both right, they didn’t provide a witness and the judge started by saying to them ‘I don’t suppose you have brought a witness, so the defendant is unable to cross examine. Which is unfair and you do this in the belief that it will put them at a disadvantage’.

    I suspect it was 'defendant'?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

What an excellent sensible and intelligent judge. Do you know who it was?
I'd definitely consider getting in touch with your MP and the SRA into launching a complaint against them and their unruly/ corrupt conduct and disregard for allowing you a fair trial in regards to refusing mediation and the opportunity for cross examination etc.

It might have been George something. Probably in his 70’s, well spoken, hair grey and sort of floppy over the face.

I remember the name of the guy that UKPC sent
