Potential price/advice on where to sell gold

    I'd start it at a reasonable price as well rather than risk it going too cheap - it might not sell at the first attempt but if you use the FVF offer days you can just keep putting it up until someone bites.

    Remember to set the correct postage method for precious metals - I would suggest special delivery. 
    Is eBay worth a listing? Or should I find a dedicated auction site?

    Ebay is the most popular site, I can't think of anywhere else with as much traffic. It's not old enough for Etsy.
