I hope you've had a great and well deserved break @shell16!
I'd love to have a motor home but can't handle all that driving, but it's such a great way to explore the UK and abroad.

Morning!
Its been a while since I last updated on here. Holiday was most welcome and really chilled out,, even the weather was extremely kind to us so we were out quite alot in the fresh air.
My dishwasher has gone as its still broken, water is not pumping out, hubby bought a part to see if that sorted and it hasnt unfortunately. Bought new one middle of the road at £400 from EF so that is now at £375. In all fairness the new one is more economical, in terms of energy and water so im happy with that.
Payday next week and I have already sorted my April Pay budget which thankfully is a 4 week month for us. Im sending a total of £1212 to my Savings and Aprils Variable savings pots Like Birthdays, Car Maintenance, Clothing. Im hoping to still have around £420 left after the budget which I will move to a holding account and if I need to use it I will otherwise at the end of the April Pay Budget if its still there I will load up another Savings Pot.
Hubby is off on a golf weekend and so its just me and the girls. I may get some popcorn and some treats and we will have a cinema night in the new room downstairs. Im still waiting on my Sofa bed delivery which is down for the end of the month. Will just need a blind, bedding storage box and a set of drawers then thats done.
All in all, EF taken a battering but I still have £375 and fingers crossed nothing else is going to happen! Savings are starting to build up nicely. Nothing to take out of the weekly cash envelopes as I have used anything spare whilst girls on half term.

Morning All!
Why do Mondays come around so quickly? Anyways a little update....
Its my payday tomorrow/Hubbys on Tuesday too. I have a bonus to arrive in my paycheck which I will be using to pay for our Summer Holidays. Hoping to clear around £700 after tax and NI.
I also have £71 left in the current account which Im leaving in as a buffer, School pot has £117 and my Train Travel Pot has £17 left which totals £205. After leaving in £71 Buffer I have transferred £52 to EF and £43 to pay towards my new sofa bed which needs to be paid just before the end of the month. This leaves £39 which I have transferred to a new Pot for Half Term Holidays.
Its a 4 week month for us coming up and Im hoping to have Just over £400 left after everything has transferred out to pay for regular DD's, Various savings and the months Variable expenses. My aim is to leave £100 buffer in the current account by the time I get paid in May and transfer the rest should I still have this to various savings goals. The reason Im not doing this straight away is that there may be a need that I have to use that cash and I dont want to leave myself short.
Thats about all for now.

Congrats on the bonus, you'll not have to worry about the summer holiday
You're doing so well with savings and the pots, having any money left at the end of the month is a godsend with the current economic climate!

Its thankfully turnout out to be a lovely sunny day from a very gloomy start!
Payday for me today so I have sent £1982 to various savings and Pots
Misc - £30, School Travel/Lunches - £175, Train Travel - £80, Holidays - £930, £10 to Camping Clubs, £457 to our Bedroom Revamp.
More gone to Holidays than usual as I have received my bonus and this means the Holiday we have at end of May in Cornwall is fully funded and I also have left over to pay for the site fees for our Summer Holidays too.
Ive decided to keep my cash envelopes for the weekly budget to a Friday reset regardless of the day I get paid. I would usually start from day im paid and let run for a week then reset, but im also now used to cash weekly budgeting reseting on a Friday as its easier! Im still using the grocery and Fuel money from last months pay until Thursday evening when it will reset.
Things are still going well, my credit score has gone down as im not using any credit now. Im humming and harring about whether to use a credit card for my fuel in the cars just so this shows im still a good credit risk and hopefully in turn will improve the score.
Thats about all for now

Loving the updates. How do you keep track of so many pots lol. Are these all done in banking apps or do you have like a cash / envelope system? It seems to be working so well for you.0

And why is your score important? Remember that only you see it - lenders just see the history, and that includes all sorts of things like telecommunications payments and similar too - anyone looking at your file will already see those being kept up to date as a good indicator that you're financially responsible. Presumably you are still using a credit card occasionally for things like the dishwasher to ensure you get the section 75 protection? If so then those transactions will also show up of course.
