Thanks Arrietty and Doris. 😍 I did record the channel 5 Airfryers to lose weight on 2Jan so I will watch that.
Have to admit I’m struggling with house insurance today. It’s just all the questions… As it’s all online now it’s trying to find the date bought, date moved in, % of flat roof, value of contents (never had to do this as current policy has set amounts for contents & building).
I did ring my current insurer who brought renewal down from £239.07 to £215.16. Will leave it for today. I have another couple of weeks. Also went online and paid dad’s gas & electric bill now that the latest bill has been added. Once the payment shows on his account I will see if we can set up a direct debit to pay the actual monthly bill amount in future. Tomorrow I will pay his water bill. Little steps at the moment.Eating out of the freezer today❤️Mum 2018

Almost all electrical goods, washing m/c tumble drier, dishwasher, say don't leave unattended. It seems to be a case of choose which risk you take. I accept the flooding ones but not the fire. The flooding as I have solid floors so a mop situation rather than a rotten floorboard one. Not the fire because next door (attached) burnt down a month after I moved in 30 years ago.3

I must admit the only thing I leave “unattended” is my slow cooker & my combi boiler. But I don’t stand over other appliances, cooker or AF when they are on although I am usually in another room or the garden. I have been thinking of getting a fire blanket for the kitchen. I use the AF & slow cooker on top of my hob.❤️Mum 2018

Glad you are having a rethink about leaving the AF unattended!!
Your AF food looks sensational.
I prefer a SC for bunging it in and leaving it to it...also I use the SC function on my IP so strong smells are contained too.
Sorry you are feeling a bit tearful. Understandable. Sending a hugIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

We have had a dusting of snow overnight ❄️☃️
I was going to go food shopping this morning but the road here is now covered in snow, as we are a side road cul-de-sac we do not get gritted or through traffic. Maybe later once the sun gets out and a few cars /prime vans have been up and down I may be able to get out 😬
I was going to have wheat bic for breakfast but don’t want to use up the half pint of milk I have left. So it will be 9g carb toast & mymate. Have done a quick check of cupboards / freezer.Freezer
1 batch cooked chicken stew
1 chilli
2 goose mince
veg
bread
1 x spicy parsnip soup
2 x chicken thighs
cupboard
herbs & spices
tin tomato soup
tin tuna
tin coconut milk
thai green curry paste
tin kidney beans
6 sachets cuppa soup
onions
wheat bics
hot chocolate (essential for hot drink if I run out of milk 🤭)
Fridge
peppers
1 and 1/2 courgette
1/2 pint milk
butter
So I have enough for meals for a couple of days, a week at the most. Wasn’t forecast snow until Wednesday 😳Have lifted a portion of goose mince from the freezer and will make mince & onions in gravy for tea tonight with cauli / broccoli & broad beans. Have also taken the chicken thighs out and will make Thai green curry tomorrow with broccoli and green beans.❤️Mum 2018

More sadmin this morning. Paid the water bill for dads house online. Phoned trust tax office as still waiting for a reply to my letter of 3 Nov & they confirmed should get reply next week. The snow had melted off my car and the road by 12 so I went to aldee to stock up in case the weather turns again. I got some stock cupboard tins, milk, cheese, eggs, bacon, beef, gammon joint, chicken thighs, 70% choc, nuts, fruit, rice crackers, and a pair of waterproof walking shoes (look like trainers grey/lilac colour) which were reduced from £16.99 to £12.99. Total spend £50.28.I have aquafit booked for tomorrow but will see what happens with the weather. I’m going to my friends for cuppa & cake tomorrow afternoon weather permitting. Last thing I want is to slip on ice❤️Mum 2018

Thanks Suze 😊
Have come to a bit of a standstill this afternoon but am now watching garden rescue and have started my plans again for my garden. In the spring when diy pot is refilled I will get a skip to get rid of rotting sleepers & soil (square patch towards end of pebble garden). Then I’m planning to cover with weed free membrane and free pebbles from neighbours. Then I have 12 grey square slabs so may use them too to make a small seating area surrounded by lavender & put black cast iron patio set there.❤️Mum 2018

That sounds perfect SYA - free pebbles from neighbours very MSE too.I love garden rescue - my favourite after Charlie is ‘Garden Ninja’ Lee who lives nearby to us and does garden courses which I’ve been tempted by. Was going to ask OH for a course for my bday but then wondered what I might be letting myself in for 🤣Lancashire

Not sure about a course but he can come and do my garden for free 😂
Streaky bacon 288g for £1.45. 3 slices done in airfryer so easy and less mess, had it for tea with 2 slices aldee wholemeal 400g loaf 59p. I usually buy wbtons no added sugar loaf 400g for 99p - £1.05 but comparing the labels there is not much difference so I may switch to the cheaper aldee one.per slice 29g 100g
