    I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy
  • Hello,

pleased to hear you had a lovely time with family and there plenty of cuddles to be had  :)
Fab news about the airfyrer, I was at my ED for Christmas day and she made good use of hers. It has made me wonder if I would also make good use of one...I shall be reading intently to see what wonders you create in yours!

There's nothing like cuddles from little ones
I hope you enjoy your AF. I was a bit resistant with mine but use it all the time now  :)

Nope. Swede has the level of appreciation it warrants  :D

Hope you enjoy your airfryer SYA 🥰 We like the air fryer and probably use it everyday - but things like roasts are always nicer to me done in the oven.  The texture is totally different to me anyway.

  • Thanks Arrietty, dia, Suze & Tresinia 😊

I have also been resistant to an air fryer dia. Would be interested to hear what you cook in yours. I didn’t ask for one but felt it would be rude to refuse a Christmas present. I was going to roast the lamb (still in freezer) & veg but will heed Suze’s advice. However I still have just the small top oven in use so intend to try and use the air fryer (AF) instead in future. Will see if I can replace the element in my main oven in the new year. Would like to try AF a whole chicken?  Then put one on before I go to aquafit.

My body complained yesterday about the rich food and calories/ sugar I have been eating and now I feel washed out and shivery. I need to get back on to low carb/ low sugar.

Remaining in the fridge is eggs, cheese, salad, milk, veg, diced beef. In the freezer there is frozen veg, 9g carb bread, goose mince, mini lamb joint. In the cupboard I have tinned soup, weetbics,

Remaining in my current account is £7.31 and payday tomorrow.

Today I am going to make stew in the slow cooker. Maybe eggs for breakfast and soup for lunch. The rest of the day will be spent relaxing and reading or watching tv.

Pain in my back and neck today so must have overdone it with hoovering the whole house and mopping all floors yesterday. Dog beds also hoovered & suction packed away in storage wardrobe, sofa throws washed & dried with dehumidifier. Miss them all already but glad they got home safely.

Was going to book aqua for tomorrow but there is no class on the app. Looks like it resumes on Friday

I know what you mean about all the rich food. Can waiting to get back to work for the routine, have another week to go yet!

Such a relief when you know your loved ones have arrived back home safely.

    Have a good day.

  • I had the same SYA! Upset tummy for the last few days.
I was expecting family today but DS has a cold. So, no need for rich food for the next few days. I have a soup in the IP ready to go. My body doesn't do well on sugar, dairy...I need lots of veggies and lean protein so back to eating that way

Re the AF I felt the young family members forced me into it but now I really like it. I do roasted veggies most of the time. I prefer a whole chicken in the SC and adding it to the AF on high just to turn it golden. I also find it reheats some things really well...frittatas, flatbreads, quiches, pizzas...leaves them crispy and really nice. Let me know how you get on with your whole chicken
