The first 2 years they even charged us £25 for not using them. Can you imagine them trying that now!

We bought our 1st house just after the horrible negative equity/ridiculous interest rates subsided in the late ish 90s. I do remember our mort interest rate still being just under 8%.For the life of me cannot remember a thing about home insurance costs much like I don’t recall anything about energy costs back then.I’m sure we used to heat the house when we were out at work! 😱Lancashire

Delurking to wish you a happy Christmas and New Year from Oz. I have been following your diary (and I went back and read your previous one) and think that you have achieved a great lifestyle. I've just retired from a stressful job and am really looking forward to a more relaxed lifestyle like the one you have achieved.3

Thanks Suze 🥰 Hope you and yours have a lovely Christmas and a happy New Year ❤️
we arrived at my sisters on the south coast safely. Very windy yesterday but warm in the sun so we had a nice long walk on the old railway line to the sea. Stopped at a cafe and had soup & cups of tea. Trying to still eat sensibly and mindfully. ☺️0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
