DCBL - UKPC - DCB visit.

Good morning.

I’ve only just come across this forum and the posts within.

I have just received a new letter of claim from DCBL, I’m currently following newbie thread and have submitted several emails as explained.

I worked on a retail park several years ago and received a number of PCN’s, at the time of receiving these I spoke with the retail park’s management team who told me these would be sorted, so I presume the fact I parked there as part of work and that I was told these would be sorted will form part of my defence?

my main problem is as follows, On Friday morning I had a visit from DCB informing me I owed money as I failed to attend county court, I never received any previous letters nor did I receive a county court letter, this is not something I would of ignored, before seeing this forum I would of probably just paid the initial fee.

As you can imagine this came as a massive shock and I felt threatened in my own house, I was home alone with my 5 month old son and had this guy telling me I owed them £1798 and if I didn’t pay within 10 minutes these fee would increase.
if I didn’t make payment they would start removing my possession from my house.

I didn’t’ have enough knowledge to know where I stand so therefore made the payment, do I have any way of appealing this or regaining my money?
he said they hold the money for 14 days and then it goes to UKPC and if I wanted to appeal I needed to go through the high court 🤯🤯

any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

You can certainly get this money back.
He was lying. If you give them entry they could not remove anything in the house. They have a lot less power then people think

Read the thread from start to finish by @SoJacob and do exactly what she did.  She got her money back and the CCJ set aside.

Did the new LBC come to your correct address and is it about the same parking firm as the court claim that must have gone to an old address?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

When were the original claims served? When were the CCJs ordered? Did you receive any correspondence before the claims were made? What address was on your V5C at the time of the PCNs? Had you moved and not updated the V5C? Is the new claim for just 1 PCN or multiple PCNs as noted in your SAR response? Is/are the new claim/claims about the same car park and vehicle and more or less the same alleged contravention?

Just trying to establish timelines in order to see where you stand with regards to getting the original CCJs set aside and the money you've already paid to be refunded.

I’d received the PCN to my previous address years ago, I never received anything regarding the CCJ until the bailiffs turned up

    I updated my V5C

the new claim is for just 1 PCN

yeah they are all the same contravention, all while parked ‘at work’ in the retail park.
