I adopted the D1 reply a bit to make it fit the pdf and now this reads:I wish to question the Claimant about their evidence in person.Given the Claimant is a firm who complete cut and pasteparking case paperwork for a living, having this case heardsolely on papers would appear to put the Claimant at an unfairadvantage, especially as they would no doubt prefer theDefendant not to have the opportunity to expose the issues inthe Claimants template submissions or speak as the only truewitness to events in question.0 -
This morning we received the strangest phonecall asking for us to ring back a certain number. I put it in Google and it came back as DCB Legal! What an utterly bizarre organisation, they didnt state their name, company or reason for calling at all. And when we started questioning it the lady on the phone just hung up! Any idea what could be going on over there?
The number they rang from was 02038387038.

Standard part of the DCB Legal process, and further progress towards discontinuation. Now, block that number as DCB Legal have nothing helpful to offer, then wait patiently for your N279. Did you not read the post by @patient_dream on 27 February where he linked the following thread?

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Yeah i did see that but didnt notice the phonecall approach. I've never encountered such unprofessional behaviour it was really bizarre! I'm almost looking forward to defending this one in a court hearing, what utter shambles0

I'm almost looking forward to defending this one in a court hearing, what utter shamblesUnfortunately, you won't be getting that opportunity. 'Leaving the site' tripe is an almost impossible case to prove and no PPC with half a brain cell will try this on in front of a judge. The last one daft enough to try it was over 11 years ago. For 'entertainment' purposes, have a read of how the judge in the case destroyed the solicitor, offering her an all-inclusive stay at one of Her Majesty's hostels for her efforts. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Morning you lovely bunch, another one bites the dust:
They followed usual pattern of getting a court date and then frantically calling us and trying to settle. We refused and this morning the court letter dropped. Im happy we stuck to our guns and considering options for counter claim now as I've spent many hours of my life wasted on these bullies.8 -
Good news, but be aware that we have seen this type of order previously, only to find that DCB Legal pay the hearing fee once they read the order. Hopefully it's the end of the matter, but nothing surprises us in this game. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. With such a rubbish UKPC claim, that was the best thing to do, saved them a court spanking or their normal egg on face discontinuation
You really have to laugh at this lot
