No WHD received here.
I had the letter - phoned and was told I'm eligible.. I have a definitely old and inefficient property (with EPC 'E') and a liftime disability I;ve received WHD every year in recent history.
All involved parties (utility, ofgem, WHD line is closed) can't or won't help.
This seems like a con.
Is there any recourse whatsoever?

Is there any recourse whatsoever? Not a con, just errors in the system, since its a government led scheme, if you can no longer contact the official support line I would ask your MP for help.0 -

So far I have wrote official complaint to dwp, which they received tracked post weeks ago, this was after calling the dwp 'helpline' and having them hang up on me!
I have asked local mp, of which she has been very helpful but still got nowhere yet due to ignorant dwp departments.
I have put several complaints in with energy company, of which they finally asked to see the original letter I got in November, and my Energy performance certificate, and now I may be getting somewhere as they sent an email today saying they will authorise the payment and will get back to me when this has been done. I won't hold my breath but it's a step forward.
My only thought now is will I have to chase it like this every year that I'm entitled!
Preferred the old way was much simpler and put on before Christmas.Surprised they asked for certificate as the new WHD doesnt use that to estimate energy costs for most people. Instead they mainly factor age, size and property type. But good you got somewhere, and yes from what I understand of the older way it was a much simpler system.0 -

I didn't get WHD despite being told I would by DWP.. I emailed the energy companies (I was migrated from SSE to OVO after August 2022), Ofgem multiple times and got nowhere.. I then contacted my MP who has contacted DWP.. all gone quiet. This fiasco is just another example of how nothing works properly in the UK anymore.0

Potentially yeah, but when I looked at the consultation report, the suppliers were unhappy they were not being allowed to apply their own discretion. But I guess its possible that has been changed behind the scenes.

I'm giving up for now, few more months and I'll be eligible for the next one that I won't receive. Ridiculous.
I wonder how many people are in same situation as us, told eligible but not received.Well.. if you do a seach there are a fair few posts complaining of missing payments on this forum, on reddit, and on the forums operated by various energy companies e.g. https://forum.ovoenergy.com/my-account-140/not-yet-had-warm-home-discount-14464/index3.html#post89510Not everyone will post about this.. some may have not even noticed they didn't recieve it..

Same issue, never got the letter, gave all my information on the WHD helpline, confirmed I definitely qualify, no WHD credit received by 31 March, Scottish Power can't chase up without reference number which I don't have because no letter, helpline no longer in operation, wrote to MP who are still waiting for response, the whole spiel.
I'm attempting to get some clarity via a SAR. Here's a draft if anyone finds it useful.
Email for DESNZ/BEIS Data Protection: dataprotection@beis.gov.ukDear DESNZ Data Protection Officer,I would like to request a copy of all information you hold about us in relation to the 2022/23 Warm Home Discount scheme. As part of my request I am particularly interested to find out what, if any, WHD unique reference number have I been assigned. Please can you also confirm the status and outcome of my application, and if any payments were sent.I was assured by your representative in a telephone call on xx/xx/yyyy then that my household qualified for the rebate, however, I have never received the expected letter or reference number. The due date has passed but no WHD credit has yet been applied to my energy account. I am looking for a confirmation through SAR.I shared most of the information below with you. Some information may have also been shared with you by the DWP. I hope it will help you find me in your system and in turn help me chase up this matter.- Account holder: xxxxxxxxxxxx, DoB dd/mm/yyyy- Supply/Billing Address: xxxxxxxxxx- Customer account number for your electricity supply: xxxxxxxxxx- Energy Supplier: xxxxxxxxxx- Electricity meter point administration number (MPAN): xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Email address: xxxxx@xxxxx.xxx- Phone number: xxxxxxxxxxxI trust that this information should suffice, but please do not hesitate to contact me should you need a further verification of my identity. It may be helpful to for you to know that data protection law requires you to respond to a request for personal data within one calendar month.I prefer a paperless response, ideally via email.Thank you in advance for processing my request.Kind regards,0 -
I have e mailed to the same address on the 26th April 2023 still awaiting a reply. The whole system has been a complete shambles.
