Broadband increase during contract term - Any options

That ploy doesn't work with BT either if you are currently in one contract and then taking out another (and has been proven time after time). The cooling off period cancellation returns you back into the original contract, it does not allow you to exit without cancellation fees. The only way it would do as you suggest is if you are in the rolling monthly contract because your fixed term had come to an end. In which case you wouldn't need the cooling off period anyway to move.J292 said:I understand that same ploy wouldn’t work with virgin as they have their own network but if your ever on the open reach system it’s a loophole that can be exploited to great effect especially if you ever feel disgruntled at the mid contract price rises.
