How to contact Lufthansa and get a reply

I have been trying since before Christmas to contact Lufthansa Customer Services because I had flights booked with them to Fort Myers and the area was hit by Hurricane Ian and my accommodation was flooded so not available. I have travel insurance and they want Lufthansa to confirm that I did not fly. They simply do not respond to emails - well no they respond with an automatic generic few sentences but nothing else. I have in desperation sent a snail mail letter to the Head office in Germany but they still do not answer. I don't even want money or a flight from them just a No Show letter. Is there anything else I can do?

They do answer the phone. Not sure if it will help though, they may just tell you to fill out the Web form again but it's worth a try.1

Yes you are right - also I have since joined a Facebook group and everyone says the only thing you can get them to do is take your money for booking flights. Everything else and they tell you to fill in the online form and you get a generic reply back with a reference number which does you no good at all.0
