0W or slightly over that depending on rounding 😄
running from battery and avoiding heavy loads like ovens.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)1 -
Well done on that. The weird thing is, I was running on about 36w during the previous session too (background + light), but Octopus said I'd saved 100%. So I figured it wasn't worth resetting clocks on appliances, if running at 30w ish, counts as a 100% saving.(No, I don't understand the 2 pages of maths to work it out properly, and my guesstimate on £££ savings, is usually within 50p.)1

Our biggest layout was the emergency 1.5 hour event £54.36 as they paid £4 per kWh saved.
For tonight's we expect £24-25
We missed the first 5 events as we were not chosen by Eon next and had to sign up to another organisation to take part (loop) however expect to earn over £200 by the end or put another way 10% of our energy cost for the year.

I went from £1.02 before I knew how it worked, to £46.28 for the live session on 24th Jan (£40.78 profit after factoring in extra electric costs.)I missed the first 5 sessions I think it was, as I was with BG to start with (with a non smart, smart meter), before I switched to Octopus, which fixed the meter problem immediately.Shall have to wait for Bright App to update over night with my electric usage, to guesstimate today's earnings.1

I also had to keep force closing it, so got rid.1

Typically for the sessions I'll cut down to 0w, although on this one I was a little on the slow side switching things off so will probably have a small amount of usage right at the start - not likely to have any notable impact on savings though.
Did one event where I just cut the power on the CU, but have since been switching everything off at the wall manually for the sessions so that the coffee machine and oven can still have power to keep their clocks running. The consumption of these two combined in their idle modes is so low they seem to have no measurable power draw, so even with them left on the meter still registers 0w used.Moo…1 -
This whole process seems bonkers to me - burn loads of electrical energy in the day , then switch off virtually everything for an hour or so in the evening to earn most of your monthly bill back !!4
