Hi all
Glad the In Laws are getting sorted Pigpen I love my parents dearly but I have to confess that I dont have a huge amount of patience, and cant imagine being very good at caring for them. Thankfully they are both fit and well at the moment.
The paid stuff is hideous, the to do list just gets longer, stress levels are through the roof. Despite being out of the house from 7.30am to 6pm I have managed to get the WM on twice, upstairs has been dusted and I have run the cordless Vac around - I am determined not to spend all next weekend cleaning.
In a desperate attempt to sleep better I am trying not to look at screens too much on an evening, so I will shut the laptop down now and read my book instead. I have to say this strategy isnt make any difference at the moment, but I can only try.
Catch you all tomorrow x11 -
Mahoosive spider decluttered from the kitchen floor. It was last seen scurrying to the shed after being transported outside under a mug and held in place with a piece of cardboard.
I used up a lot of brave doing that. And breathe....

I'm sorry I can't keep up at the moment, but I am getting there.Huge belated congratulations on finishing your treatment and ringing the bell Valli. There has been cheering here.Various bits of carpet vacuumed because Layla continues to scatter the cats' litter tray sawdust on her ears as she snuffles through it looking for 'dog chocolate'. Disgusting animal, but she's enjoying life so I'm not going to try to stop her.All walking holiday arrangements finalised for September, fitness programme sorted out so that I can do 10 miles a day for eight days on the trot. I've got a lot of catching up to do on the fitness front, but I've been sticking to the plan for 10 days so I'm beginning to feel a difference. It's only 15 minutes a day, plus 10 minutes on the exercise bike on the days I don't have any outdoorsy walking because Layla can't manage walks any more.Better is good enough.9

Have brought some track and trace records home to shred because the shredder there won’t shred. These should have been disposed of long ago. And securely filed when stored (by a predecessor). Part of the reason I hadn’t found them earlier was that they weren’t securely filed. Ho hum.
Got home, brought in washing, ironed a maidenful and made pancake batter. So I would say I’m operating at 95%. Not bad.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Evening all - I too am trying to keep up and not quite managing it. Can't really remember what got done today except that I did cook eleventy hundred pancakes for my rabble, which were enjoyed noisily, with a splash of lemon juice and sugar. I shudder when I think of other toppings - it's like pineapple on pizzas...purely for savages...
Two important emails written and sent, which needed doing last week really, but there are still loads of important tasks on my lists, so half term won't be restful for me. Tiny only appeared at 10am this morning in his Oodie demanding chocolate pillows for breakfast. Small was even more lazy and came downstairs at 11am! I was up at 6am, as usual...
Door fell off the TD this morning after weeks of hanging on by a random piece of one hinge. Both children deny using it to climb up onto the worksurface, but I'm pretty sure I know who the culprit was. I know what you're all thinking about using the TD with electric prices at an all time high, but I have sooo much washing that I simply can't get it dry using an airer and hanging washing on a line in the garden is too tempting for the goats, even if I enjoyed hard, crispy socks and towels. Which I don't.
Anyway, visiting French Bulldog is snoring in my ear as I type, so he's happy and I've got a cup of Earl Grey that is still hot, so I'll sign off to enjoy.

Morning lovelies
Full day at the paid stuff beckons. But, joy of joys, the kids are at grandmas so when I get home the house will look exactly as it did when I left. This happens maybe twice a year, so I am determined to enjoy ☺️☺️Cuppa in bed now, then I’ll be up and at ‘em. Don’t need to leave until 8.30am so lots of time to get lots done.Take care everyone xx10
