Do you have a licence rather than a tenancy agreement?ratlett said:so are you saying that selling a car or getting friends to help me will definitely not be counted as income as no work was done.
When they put a figure on what i have to pay back it will mean it they will remove the rent support,
as i previously owed rent, i am under a pay your rent on time or get evicted by the end of the week,
can someone else pay money to me for my rent and me not trigger an investigation as to where i got my money from who is supporting me, you understand why this is so scary.
Seems a very strange set up whereby you can be evicted within a week legally. Though Ive know this happen under a licence BUT ive only seen it applies in hostal type social housing.
Do your children live with you?

i really want replies to my previous post as i need them to complete their decisions.
they have already failed to pay my rent for the last five weeks of the investigation i am in horrendous arrears and am likely to get an instant eviction to vacate the property, i have had these before and they are not bluffing i have to find the money from nowhere or be on the street, i am beside myself.0 -
You can't get an 'instant eviction'. They can serve you notice to quit but that doesn't mean you have to leave. All it means is the landlord can then apply to the courts to evict when the notice is up. This takes many months.ratlett said:i really want replies to my previous post as i need them to complete their decisions.

Post on the housing board for clearer information about this.2026 wins - Parker Pen, American Sweets bundle, dish magic bundle

I can't answer the question about the money you previous had to repay back. If you were working at the time you claimed JSA then there's a £5/week disregard and not £20 like you keep saying. You should have reported the changes and told them you were working and earning money, as you didn't do this then it's correct that you now have an overpayment. You may also have a small fine ontop of the money you now owe them.

they don't seem to want to pay my rent or give me any money to live on so i cant put fuel in my car to go to work, its all held until i find the full money i owe. They don't want to consider any mitigating circumstances that it was their fault, they just say cough up, i will have no house or job.0

What mitigating circumstances are there for fraud?ratlett said:they don't seem to want to pay my rent or give me any money to live on so i cant put fuel in my car to go to work, its all held until i find the full money i owe. Have you asked anyone for help offline? This honestly sounds like you need help beyond what anonymous strangers can give over the internet. The Citizens Advice Bureau, for example https://advicelocal.uk/find-an-adviserratlett said:they don't seem to want to pay my rent or give me any money to live on so i cant put fuel in my car to go to work, its all held until i find the full money i owe. Regarding the rent element, are you able to post a screenshot of your last Universal Credit statement (with any identifying information removed)?

this is what happened to coarse me to have to earn money cash in hand to get my money to live and pay my rent to get me into this scenario of fighting with UC, they have already not paid my rent for six weeks have an eviction order from my housing, have no payments to live off or pay any bills or put fuel in my car to go to work, will be out of work as well as no home, we are not numbers we are people who struggle to deal with dwp proceedings.

That's not correct, you can definitely take screenshots of your journal, i've done this many times. I've also seen many screenshots of peoples journals.ratlett said:

I think this is the best way forward.Spoonie_Turtle said:

It sounds like the OP needs face-to-face one-to-one help with this.
I also read this other post:Newcad said:This is not a situation that can be handled on a public forum. When it comes to Benefit Fraud then you need somebody who can see your papers and letters from the DWP, somebody who can help you with replies to the DWP, help to minimise your repayments, and so on.In other words you need a welfare advice service nearby to you, preferably one that has experience with the DWPs Fraud procedures. You can start by finding advisers local to you, do that by putting your postcode in here:
https://advicelocal.uk/find-an-adviserIt can seem like a disaster, but with someone who can look at your letters and advise you what to do for the best you will come through it.You are not the first person to be in this situation, and you certainly won't be the last.
People do come through it, it takes time but you can get there.2
