Its PAC not PACT. You need to text PAC dd/mm/yyyy for Virgin MobileMouldyOldDough said:Have any of you lot recently successfully used the PAC txt method with virgin?
According to https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2019/06/ofcoms-new-text-to-switch-process-for-uk-mobile-operators-begins.html you just need the word PACT not PACT dd/mm/yyyy0 -
From https://www.virginmedia.com/help/mobile/keep-my-numberRequest your PAC from Virgin MobileYou can get a PAC in a few ways:Sign in to your online account and select Switching to make your request
Text ‘PAC’ and your date of birth (in DDMMYYY format) to 65075 For example: PAC 01031984
Call us on 789 from your Virgin Mobile or 0345 6000 789 ** from any other phone0 -

We're up and running on Lebara now & it's identical speed to virgin (just 3 times the data and half the price)
Is there any need to cancel virgin - or was the PAC request enough to do this?

The PAC code aslong as its been used and the number transfer is complete will trigger Virgin to close the account and issue the final bill.MouldyOldDough said:We're up and running on Lebara now & it's identical speed to virgin (just 3 times the data and half the price)

If you haven't used the PAC Code and you dont want to transfer the Virgin number to the Lebara sim then request a STAC code and give that to Lebara. This avoids you having to give 30 days notice to Virgin to cancel.0 -
txts and calls cannot be received on the new Lebara SIM - They can be sent and calls can be madedata works fine (internet/emails are same speed as with virgin)I had an online chat with Lebara and was told that the porting process can take up to 24 hours - a little worrying since my wifew is concerned that she may lose her numberI am assuming that the delay is down to virgin?

They texted us this morning to say "put the Lebara sim in....your existing number has been moved to. Lebara " which I assumed meant completeSaverRate said:
