I'll avoid the use of any potentially contentious terminology and simply sat that DWP can and do chase debts which are far more than 6 years old.

@WiskeythewondercatBecause I thought it was paid off lime I said but then 15 years later I get a convincing letter saying I still owed money yet panic set in and started to pay the rest of the aledged sum however someone said it could be a scam and often there is loads associated with HMRC and DWP and now they are still claiming I owe them.If I do I'll pay it but how can I get evidence I didn't pay it off , why can't they produce something showing me that way back in 1998 there is still an outstanding sum left with dates and balances , surely they have this to make this claim in the first place ?Sorry quote function isn't working for me .0
