The DNO issues a different MPAN for export. The one on your bill is only for import.

Yep, I just found that out this afternoon. Every day's a school day! The company that installed my panels have been very helpful and hopefully freed the logjam.

Are we expecting a big change in July? The price cap is looking likely to be r3duced by around 17.5% so I'm guessing the Flux rates will follow? Announcement next Thursday on the new price cap for Q3

You need 2 MPAN numbers, import and export. You’ve seen the import MPAN on your bill but you haven’t been notified of your export MPAN yet.

I gave my mpan when i joined. do they have to contact the DNO again?

Depends on if it was your import or export MPAN, if your export MPAN then no.

Anyone else have this experience with octopus? You have to submit your export meter readings every time? I assumed they would be able to track them?

Only when setting up for the first time. I had to do the same.

I have been nagging Octopus as although I was told I was on Flux export my account still shows as Flux Import only. 

I received this from Octopus 2 days ago.

Thank you for getting back to us. I can confirm that you have been on Flux Import since 21 March 2023 and you have been on Flux Export since 23 April 2024. You have been earning export payments since April and these will be credited they are usually credited every 3 months 🌝

I received my electricity bill today which still shows my tariff as Flux Import and of course no credits. Octopus Watch app which I have had for a couple of months shows my tariff as “Fixed” - not Flux as appears on other people’s apps.

Has everybody else had to wait 3 months for Flux export credit to appear? I am aware that FiT payments are onl6 made every 3 months so am wondering if Octopus are confused.
