Shoreham Port is Sussex so I wondered if it was there.

What you are complaining about is a course of conduct of extortionate spiralling 'costs' and intimidation, and you should point out the new DLUHC CoP to the MP and ask if you can count on his/her support of the new statutory Code when the draft Impact Assessment resuscitates the new law in a few weeks.

    Hi again,
Several emails from Trace later, received this latest by email 2 days ago:

"PENDING SOLICITOR ACTION:  You have still not made payment and your
case has now been selected for legal action through the county court.
Please call TRACE Escalations Department urgently on 03300 080 477 to
    prevent this action.
You can also make payment using our secure online payment system by
    visiting: www.thetracegroup.co.uk
    Escalations Department
    TRACE Enforcement Group"

Re your reply on 9th Feb, Coupon-mad:
"GXS rarely sue, but if you get a LBC from a legal firm, come back here. Nothing to worry about."
Have still not had a letter threatening court from any solicitors yet - but is this next? Am away for several weeks from tomorrow so would not be there to receive it...do you know how long I would get to reply if they were to post one? :/  :s
    Thanks as always

But that is just another piece of emergency toilet paper from TRACE for your collection. An LBC can only come from GXS or a solicitor acting on their behalf. TRACE are not a party to the contract you allegedly breached which is why you were told to ignore anything from any debt collector.

Even if you get an LBC the day after you leave for a few weeks, you will still have time to respond as an LBC has to give you a minimum of 30 days to respond before a claim can be filed.

Have a read of the Pre Action Protocol that has to be followed if someone wants to take you to court. Section 3 applies:

    Hi guys
So have received missive from bw legal saying if you do not pay
"...then your case may proceed to our legal process and the next letter from us would be a Letter of Claim"
Am I to await that 🤔
    This is frazzling me tbh!
    Thx in advance

Got your MP on board and pushing your complaint further, as advised?

If you have been reading and following the NEWBIE sticky and other posters' threads, you will know that it is all part of the ramped up harassment and intimidation to get you to buckle and pay.  But we say, do not pay, wait for the Letter of/before Claim and (possibly) the N1 Court Claim; then you win it in court with our help.

"Thank you for your reply and I would be very happy to contact GXS Services Ltd on your behalf. I would need the PCN reference and the registration of the vehicle.
However, the two local MPs have never had a PCN issued by a private parking company overturned or quashed."

Which is why I suggested your reply should tell them about the new statutory Code in case it's flown over their head.
