Good luck with concealing the medication.

Just delurking briefly re olio....I was also a little wary about what collecting and distributing would involve. I've found it pretty straightforward now I have a regular collection slot that fits in with my schedule (most are early morning or mid evening).

One tip, in terms of finding a collection slot is to register interest in becoming a collector and do all the induction videos & quizzes that are mandatory - there are several, but they are only 5 min or so each. That way, when a slot is available, you will be able to claim it immediately - They tend to go quickly and if you do the inductions in response to a specific vacancy, it will probably have gone by the time you complete them all. The videos also explain quite a bit about what it involves, so you can make a more informed choice. I hope that helps!

It is certainly making a bit of a difference to our food bills, and I promoted to several local friends and family, so quite a lot of households in my wider network benefit, and that makes it more sociable for me too. Of course and for clarity, the food all gets advertised openly and people I know don't get prioritised!

Good luck with the FF - sounds frustrating. Do you need to claim on your insurance for food too?

You can't have too many potatoes IMO Seaweed. Glad Wales won yesterday, but England's defeat was pretty humiliating. We're dog sitting currently (at home) for some friends who are on holiday in Dubai, I took the dog out for a walk before the ENGFRA match finished.

Hope the refrigeration engineer gets there soon.
  • The room of doom is going to take longer than a day it would appear. Lots of his papers sorted into various neat piles rather than the chaos it was in previously. Plenty to be recycled. We did get abit distracted when we came across photos of the girls when they were little. Letting him have a rest as YD has requested that he put up a small shelf in her room. The room of doom now has space to swing a large racoon in, I recokon. Hoping that by Tuesday it will be sorted and I can start sowing more seeds and get them on the shelves that I saved when my sister was moving house.

Had a mid month look at the budget and there is not alot of wiggle room in the food budget especially after the top up shop today. I'm lucky in the fact this is a trail run for next year but we need to try harder, well i need to try harder as I'm the one who shops. Although, bearing in mind this time of year is not called the hungry gap for nothing. Need the growing season to get going. The rest of the budget is looking fairly ok, in fact it bragging to the food budget thats its feeling rather volumptious in comparison. I therefore jiggled and wiggled money into various pots.I've reduced the car fund pot by £50 - now £150 a month and increased our ISA pots by £40 each- now £50 each. This is mainly due to our emergency fund and holiday funds been hammered lately with this year's big holiday and various appliances conking out. If that money doesn't need to be re-jigged back into the main account then when the child related benefits stop next year we won't intaily miss it, well until the poop hits the fan. Thats my theory anyway.

Printed the form of to get my (old) walking boots resoled and re-randed. Just need to get my eyes ripped out for p&p and then I'm all set to go.

Right best be off to encourage (OH interpretates this as nagging)OH to continue with scaling the paper mountain.

I like how you write ;)

Well done on the pot re-jigging and growing your own food. I have fruit and garlic cloves growing - but need to sow some seeds for a wider variety. I have loads of chitted potatoes that haven't gone anywhere yet.

  • So the fridge engineer came and waved a magnet at it and it didn't turn off, it just kept on beeping. Its like chinese water torture, you know the beeping is coming, but unless you count to 30 it gets you every time.So it switched off again whilst he goes away and sees if he can order the part. He left in about 5 minutes £60 richer, lucky beeping him. God knows how much that will cost because of course its just out of warrenty. Pity the snow has gone as we were using that in multiple lunchboxes to keep the fridge cold, so we are now relying on freezer packs instead.

Booked to go and have my ears looked at as my tinnitus has been alot louder since my ear infection the other week and the doctor did say he could grow spuds with whats in there. Sure that was a saying when i was little, mind you was it muck behind the ears or neck? Anyway appointment made, instead of having my eyes ripped out with the price it will be my ears £85!!!!!!!!!. Anyway if it works it will be worth it.

Spoke to my aunty today and asked if I could use her delivery firm account for the hiking boots package I need to send off, as it will be cheaper than royal mail. Just need to weigh it and mum will drop it off with her later on in the week. Need to nip to the allotment and pick her some daffy's to say thank you.

Photographed and sent reciepts for chiro's to medical insurance firm, think we are very close to our limit. Mileage claim forms sent in as well. OOOOOOOooo i'll be rolling in money soon Ha Ha Ha I wish, but better in my purse than theirs.

The room of doom chaos has spread to ED room although its more organised but still not where it should be and OH is unable to finish. A japenese saw attacked him at work yesterday and his finger bleeds every time he moves it :s. So mum will have to navigate around the piles in order to go to sleep later.

Right off to create a path through the mountains(paperwork).I will drop jellybeans behind me incase I become lost, must not eat them as I go mmmmmm jellybeans.
