Some of those face masks are actually quite miraculous, I had a Korean one I used on holiday and everyone was amazed at the difference.
Some great focus and plans hereDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I think when you first start your journey - it often involves uncovering true rather than imagined spend - which is usually much higher. Hopefully you can get control of your spends as time goes on and than make good progress with your dreams.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Have you considered contributing to your own private pension. You can put up to £2880 a year in without any income & get it uprated to £3600. That thin air could be busy!!!

Swayingseaweed said:Fun fact jelly tots when rolled out with a rolling pin will try to go back to their original shape very slowly. And how do I know this, we're trying to use jelly tots to disguise medication instead of chocolate. YD totally on board with the idea. Meds is a real sticking point for her. We are spending almost £7 a month on chocolate just for medication. She has a very sweet tooth and she is putting a lot of weight on due to teenage rebellion against any form of exercise. So in order to save my back, her waistline and my pocket, we are looking at alternatives. I did buy haribobs but apparently they are a big fat no!. If it works I'll try adult painkillers next as we've gone through almost 2 bottles each of children's liquid paracetamol and ibuprofen at £3.50 each this week.
Chiropractors went well, booked to go in another 2 weeks and then it will be every 3weeks after that.
Right off to finish the housework and make a cuppa

Does she like chocolate? When my DD couldnt swallow tablets I used to cut a small square of bread or toast, empty a paracetamol tablet onto it and add a small dollop of chocolate spread and cover the powder! the paracetamol is much cheaper than the liquid bottles

We were given a spoon of jam with medicine as kids. Chocolate spread sounds a great idea.
