Happy 50th. It felt a big deal to me - and probably was - but remember the stats show this period of life people tend to become happier as they focus more on meeting their own needs.

Is respite care an option? It does sound like you need a break.

Sorry things are tough. I did a double take on the bee eating a ginger bread man head first - then re-read it ;)

I have to say I'm with you on the camping Seaweed, I'm off to an event at the end of July where a few years ago I would have camped (one of my closest friends will be in her T5 camper) this year I'll be staying in a nearby Airbnb, same event last year I stayed in a pub.

Most of our childhood holidays were 'under canvas', and through most of my adult life I've had some lovely camping trips with friends, but I'm just too old now to put up with the 'discomfort'.

Last time I had raining inside a tent was a cheapy job I'd bought just to go to a festival in. Most miserable night of my life. I packed up at around 5 on the Sunday morning (it was a two day festival and I was supposed to stay till Monday) and went home, never so happy to see my bed!
