@Grizebeck - can you tell me how to send the DQ if it's not on the MCOL? I've still not received anything neither does my MCOL show any references to the DQ. Getting a bit concerned now.

    Download it and email it....

  • Hi Experts, things have been progressing slow but I have just received a letter through the post that first of the two cases has now been allocated to Manchester court.

Interestingly, I have also received a call from DCB representative but I was driving and decided to not engage in conversation. Is preparing the WS next stage, is there anything else that I should be doing now?

If you've had a hearing date, then a WS will need to be prepared by the date required by the court - often 14 days prior - but do check what the court order says.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Gents - It's been a bit quiet but I have now received a hearing date for October with a letter requesting me to pay £27?

Additionally, I have received an email from DCB that their client is prepared to make an offer to potentially conclude this matter.

    Please share your advice.

No, you haven't been asked to pay anything.

I BET THEY ARE ????    Saves a court spanking for them and you claiming your costs

It's the start of the now famous DCBL copy and paste letters until they realise you are not a mug and DISCONTINUE..... IGNORE THEM

And you DO NOT owe the amount claimed, DCBL have added their normal fake and YASMIN MIA has signed the fake as a statement of truth

@unfairparkingticket12, re-read the bit where you think it tells you to pay £27. Let us know when the penny drops.
  • @Coupon-mad - My apologies for being ignorant. Ladies & Gents it is from now on.

@All, the penny has dropped, it's the claimant that needs to pay the fee - not sure why I missed it. In the letter, it states

    4. The parties are encouraged always to try to settle the case by negotiation. The parties are encouraged to contact each other with a view to trying to settle the case or narrow the issues. Does ignoring them completely not goes against this?

I also now need to work on my witness statement to be submitted by 12th September so kindly advise if you've come across a similar one which I can adopt for mine.

P.S I would have never been able to go this far if it wasn't for this forum and your support - so thank you. There is a already a sense of achievement.
