Now amended @Coupon-mad. Thanks as always for the prompt response and your valuable advice.0

Hi @Coupon-mad and all moderators - Just trying to get an idea about next steps. The newbies thread says that following submission of my defence (confirmation is on MCOL website) the Northampton Business centre will send a a Directions Questionnaire (form N180) to both Claimant and Defendant.
I have had the confirmation letter from business court that a copy of my defence was sent to claimant (and their solicitors) with a 30 days period for them to respond. The 30 day period finishes on 15th March as per MCOL website (for the first claim). Should I still wait for the forms or does it mean something else?0 -
I'm not a moderator - there are no moderators here - but I offer this...
The CCBC sent you a letter saying the Claimant has twenty eight days to consider your Defence. What you don't know is when the CCBC sent a copy of your Defence to the Claimant. It follows from that that it is not known when the Claimant has to respond to the CCBC.Further, we don't know what delays there are in the CCBC that means they don't send you a Directions Questionnaire as promptly as you might like. Can I suggest that you keep checking your MCOL Claim History and as soon as you see that the CCBC has sent a DQ to you, you are ready to download a DQ, complete it and fire it back at the CCBC, remembering to send a copy to the Claimant of course?3 -
My bad - experts
Thanks @KeithP. A quick update - I've been checking the MCOL, still no sign of the DQ on the website. The last update shows that my defence was received. I have, however received an email from DCB legal telling that me that their client wishes to proceed with the claim. They have also attached a copy of their DQ.
Interestingly though and "Without Prejudice to the above" their client may be prepared to settle this case and want me to call them.
Also a comment towards the end "If you have provided an email address within your Defence, we intend to use it for service of documents (usually in PDF format) hereon in pursuant to PD 6A (4.1)(2)(c). Please advise whether there are any limitations to this (for example, the format in which documents are to be sent and the maximum size of attachments that may be received). Unless you advise otherwise, we will assume not". Any action to be taken on this?
Happy to share a redacted version of the correspondence if it helps.0 -
No need just send your DQ of in a weeks time2

Did you read item 7 on that checklist you were following when you filed a Defence?
Here it is again...2 -
Thanks @Grizebeck. @KeithP, Yes I did, hence paid no attention to the settlement comment.
Will be sending the DQ when I receive it from CCBC or when it gets updated on the MCOL website.2 -

They are about 10 days behind with dq processing

@Grizebeck - can you tell me how to send the DQ if it's not on the MCOL? I've still not received anything neither does my MCOL show any references to the DQ. Getting a bit concerned now.

Wait patiently for your blank DQ from the CCBC to drop through your letterbox.
Anyway, if you really do want to send your DQ now, why not follow the guidance offered you in that checklist your were following?
This time read items 8, 9 and 10 on that list.3
