    I'm up £1!

Just withdrawn the bonus, leaving the investment for now. I was only going to transfer the £1k to top-up one of my Vanguard funds anyway so there is no rush to withdraw. Waiting for a slightly bigger profit!

I’m up £1 too. Withdrawn all my monies right away.

Now the question is whether to do the Best Invest Refer a Friend scheme (invest £1000 and hold for 120 days, get £100 - if you Google it, there’s loads of people offering to refer but reviews of BI seem a bit mixed) or just dump the lot in a cash ISA.

I have been referred to Best Invest and the website is much better than Nutmeg. Money was loaded quickly, and team proactively sent an email about the bonus being tracked. Many funds or ETFs available. However, be careful with the transaction fees for ETFs (I think £4.95 per transaction).

I’m at +20 having split my £1000 investment into two tranches a few weeks apart. Next stop best invest for me too.
  • Up £40 on £1000 and a free £100.  Can't complain.

£52 up with £100 on top assuming it was sold on Friday's price.
Must have timed the market well on that one  :)

    This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."

Got my £100. My original £1000 is £8 down though. Not sure whether to cut my losses (or £92 profit) depending on how you look at it.

It does seem to be rising at the moment as I was £16 down. Would be nice to get it back to he original £1000.
  • Original £1000, £8 down. Got the £100. Net £92 up. Not bad.

Does anyone know whether the £100 is taxable?

Withdrawn via website - 2 separate withdrawals - (1) £100 cash bonus within 4 business days to your nominated account            (2) £1012 invested closed and withdrawn within 3 -7 business days. Reason - I chose the nervous about the stockmarket option!
