Shell Energy Amazon Reward voucher

Hi

I'm after some advice
I signed up with Shell Broadband as they had a £100 Amazon voucher deal which I was told you'd get sent automatically after a certain amount of time
I received an email saying ' thanks for registering for the reward' and asking to click the link to go onto another 3rd party website
to make sure ' you don't miss out'
The link didnt go to the website , so On calling amazon , I was told it would be sent automatically .
That time has now passed and nothing has transpired .. I have called Amazon several times and have been told to contact the 3rd party.
I have left several message with the 3rd party ' Decision Technology' as no one answers the phone and as you can guess, I ve heard nothing back!
The £100 voucher made it a good deal and the only reason I signed up , so I'm feeling a little miffed to say the least as my contract is with Shell and it was sold to the customer that the voucher would be yours, if you signed up with Shell
Is there anything I can do and has any one else had any issues with them?

    Not certain how it works but I have signed up with talktalk for a similar deal although I am moving home

    AFAIK the deal/contract isn't complete until everything is in place, thats when the 14 day change of mind policy starts if you bought online

    So if that is the case you can cancel

    there will be others showing up soon and give a more accurate view

    Tell Shell you will cancel unless they sort it.

  • Thanks for your replies. Shell say that they don't offer such deals and it must be with a 3rd party. However, the deal was "if you sigh up with Shell broadband you get £100 voucher"!! The voucher is what obviously made it worth while so feeling pretty ripped off at the moment. I'm not sure how they can say its nothing to do with them. I actually think I saw it originally on the MSE website too.. I'm not sure what else I can do as I'm 4.5 months into the contract so couldn't leave if we wanted to.

    I'm in the same boat. £135 due early Jan. Contacted the 3rd party, told they would look into and come back within 20 working days. They have been and gone and now the company doesn't reply.

    I'm really not happy at all about this and don't want to just 'let it go, but don't know where to turn next tbh.

    I received the voucher and have used it twice at Tesco
  • Can I ask when posters that didn't get the Amazon voucher from Shell signed up please? I signed up at the beginning of October, and I'm not sure if my voucher hasn't arrived, or if I'm just being impatient. I know it was meant to be a few months before the email came about the voucher, but I can't remember how long it was...
  • I signed up at the end of September and am yet to receive my voucher. Supposed to be 120 days but that could be from live date not sign up.

  • It would seem that I'm not alone in not having received my Shell Amazon voucher. I switched in September using the link provided and have received the discount offered. However, more than the advertised 120 days has now elapsed and there is no sign of the Amazon £115 voucher promised. I notice that there has no official response to the postings above - surely someone from Money Saving Expert should be investigating this appalling breach of contract.

    Especially as we all took up the offer because it was featured in the MSE email, or linked from the MSE broadband comparison.
