Buyer asks for a refund .. not delivered .. RM site says .. yes, delivered

Options
I got a message this morning while out 'n about from a buyer.
They ask for a refund as the item they bought has not arrived... i thought, I was only sent last week
I come home and check the Royal mail website and see it has indeed been delivered, 2 days after being bought.
I have uploaded the tracking number and have sent a picture of my Post Office receipt as weel as a screen-shot from the RM website, showing it to be delivered.
What do I do now, as I received a message from ebay saying funds are on hold
thanks

Ring Ebay and ask them to close the claim in your favour because the tracking you uploaded onto the order shows item delivered.

    I phoned eBay.
They say I have to wait until the buyer closes the case, or until 8th February before they can get involved.

Make sure you upload the tracking to the case, even if it was uploaded at point of despatch (I always go the extra mile to safeguard myself with ebay) in case they forget to actually check the tracking , then phone ebay back and point out item was delivered and there is no point in delaying  and be firm that you expect case to be closed in your favour.

Only once you have protected your account should you start with any assistance for the buyer.

  • I always instantly block any troublesome buyers - just not worth the hassle.

Just wondering ... what happens at the buyer's end if you are blocked ?

Is there no 'bid now' button or what ?

If you block the buyer they are unable to buy/bid on any of your items.

If they try and buy it comes up with a message something like ‘the seller cannot accept your bid at the moment’.

I fully understand why people above are saying they block difficult buyers but not all buyers who raise a claim are dishonest.

I raised a claim a few weeks ago for non delivery. The seller apologised and refunded me the next day. About a week later the item turned up so I contacted him and agreed to pay again.

See this thread for the story.

If that seller had blocked me I presume I would still have been able to contact him. Can a blocked buyer send a message to a seller after a claim is settled?

I like to think that most people would have done what I did. Perhaps I overestimate peoples' honesty.
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".
