That is a good point and might tip the balance. If prices are increasing (by £6pm) that might be reflected in the early termination charges. The figures they quoted you MIGHT go up if you leave it until next month. So it is probably worth porting before the end of Feb, then when ee send you the bill for the remainder of your contract they can join the list of people on your dmp. It will take longer to pay off but reduce your monthly repayments. I would set an alarm for two weeks today to order the rwg sims (prob the £3.50 and £6 deals fit the needs of the two of you) then port your number once they arrive.Only question is do either of you have a phone with two sim slots? That would allow you to use a lower package on a reliable network for calls and texts and a budget one (thinking especially of lyca) for extra data.1

@savergrant I can only see one SIM slot on my phone. I'll check hers when she comes home from drama group later.

It's a long shot but can be useful if you have. It isn't always easy to tell, but on some samsung galaxy phones you can insert a second sim instead of the sd card. There is an option in settings called 'sim manager'. In it you can choose which sim makes calls, texts, or you use for data. It also means you have the option of a permanent and a disposable number.0

Have you always been on ee (orange or t-mobile)? Actually I was on one2one for a month or so before it became t-mobile.It's worth checking your network coverage map to see all your options;1

Yes, always was with T-Mobile/EE. Never had a problem with them, which is why I've stuck with them for over 20 years! No slot on my daughters phone either, both iphones, but it was worth you asking I suppose.0

savergrant said:How are things going? Everyone is rooting for you.Hiya! Well I've just completed my first month of non payments to everyone, and as expected, phone has been ringing off the hook! It's become a bit of a joke in my office now as I have the ringer on silent, but the phone still vibrates on my desk. My co-worker just laughs and says 'another one? '. Luckily he went through a DMP years ago and knows the drill.I have had one setback that I'm ruddy annoyed at, but it's my own fault. I received a letter from the council last week saying I owed them £501 and had to pay it within 7 days or court action. I thought I was up to date, but I was wrong. Oh well. At least I had the payments I hadn't made to the creditors available to be able to pay it, so at least I know I'm clear with them now.So just entering month 2 of non payment now. Payments all due to go out over the next few days.I still have a couple of concerns.Question 1:One of my creditors is Paypal Credit. Now, I'm trying to sell some bits and bobs on ebay, which of course uses Paypal as an option (although I thought that had stopped now it's gone to managed payments on there), so when I cancelled the direct debit through my bank, they said they would use the card linked instead for payment. I tried to remove that one and it said it couldn't do it as there is a payment schedued to use that card. Soooo, if this payment manages to get taken, and I then remove all linked cards and bank accounts from Paypal, will I still be able to use eBay??Question 2:I do Avon(self employed) as my extra income as well as a full time job (PAYE) (As shown in the SOA) and when I went to check on my credit file, Avon is listed as a credit account, which is not wrong, it is! Avon reps get a credit account amount (depending on your rep level) to be able to order customers items. My credit limit is £2000, but I've never used anywhere near that, and I pay the Invoice off within 10 days of the goods arriving. How are Stepchange going to view that as it's technically a creditor? But also my way of earning extra money.0
