Yes you could do that. You're not paying anything yet, are you? It will give them something to chew on for a bit.

  • Yes not paying, I am ready to setup a payment plan ( token amount ) as I already have have budget it, so don't want to delay it, however eventually I would like to have a success( hope they cannot find it ) with CCA request, so just want to make sure if requesting CCA in one year time has more chance of success then now, I don't want to request it now just for the sake of buying more time.

Although some debtors have had results from 2 year old accounts, with CCA requests, most agreements these days are taken out online, so should be fairly straightforward to produce CCA.

At this point in time it will only be useful as a delaying tactic, its best employed much later in the process after your debts have been long since defaulted and sold on more than once, so if your hoping for non compliance at this early stage, I very much doubt it will happen.

  • Thank you @sourcrates that's answer my question, I have no issue setting up a payment plan now, with CCA request I would like to use my this card when the chances are more as you mentioned.

Wescot operate from offices in Hull, they have a very comprehensive website, but are not a massive operation, give them time to respond, a week is about normal for email.

You can make payments on their website, you don`t need their approval to make a payment, just do it.
