WRITE to them. If you don't want to share an email address, use pen and paper.

They will happily ignore phone messages, "whoops, sorry, didn't get that one".

Letters, keep a copy and you have proof, then escalate if they carry on. Make a formal complaint, as they are not allowed to keep data about you that you have withdrawn permission for them to hold.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • Thank you, I have not received any more calls yet, will do if receive again.

  • Dear All, I am planning to do my SOA, I am bit confuse about what to include and what not.

The debts I am struggling are only mine, my wife also has income and some credit cards she pays but all under control, from her salary she contribute for groceries, food, and some to save for emergencies.

When I do SOA, do I really have to include her income and expenses or I can choose to do mine only ? also I will have £0 in grocery and any emergency funds, will debtors see this as inaccurate and do I have to mention them about my wife income and that she contribute to grocery etc as they object why I am not including her income and expenses detail.

Am I allowed to save some towards holidays like £100 a month? also most importantly I support my family abroad £200 a month, can I add this on SOA? otherwise I will shift it to my wife and will add £200 groceries on my side.

For us, you are best giving us the whole picture.

I'm not saying that that is what you should present to your creditors.

Thank you and understood, thinking to wait till April as I will know if any increase in my salary by then plus true picture of utilities cost as my fixed deal ending.
  • Hi, which website I should monitor my default and missed payment status etc, the MSE credit club updates every month, and Credit karma weekly but not sure how quick they are to show.

I use Credit Karma and Clearscore. Lenders only seem to send updates once a month so I don't think you can get it quicker than that anywhere.

Its been more then three months now and missed around 3 ;payments on each credit card and loan, I have received few calls which I have not attended and some letters/texts asking me to contact them to clear arrears or if I need any help, today I received a letter from Tesco about default notice.
Its felt like the process is slow for any reason and it is a long until I get any default and interest will be accrued until then.

Yep, that`s the deal unfortunately, take quite a long time before things kick in to gear, you have to understand that debt collection is a lengthy process that takes time, you just have to be patient with it all.

Thank you @sourcrates, so should I just wait until a default appears on my file from each of creditors? what shows first the default on file or letter confirming default and at what point I should offer my repayment, I believe the interest which I am incurring now until default should not be a  issue if my debt is sold and I do a settlement in future at lower amount, which means I never paid interest which I am incurring now.
