Understand and thank you for your detailed response.
I thought the prove it letter is only applicable if don't recognise the debt or it is very old.
I never thought I can send this letter even if I am aware the debt exists.

    Hi,
Are two defaults better then four defaults or it doesn't matter for credit file as long as one account defaulted?
Also how defaults and damaged credit file can impact someone life ?other then no access to credit any more, for mortgage can get fixed deal from same lender so that's not a issue.

Two defaults may be a little better than 4 but I can't think that it would make much difference

Poor credit may affect immigration issues and ability to get rented accomodation. Job applications may require a credit search

Immigration issue means if we want to visit other country?
Also we are in our mortgage house so that should be ok?

Of you are not UK national and are looking for settled status they may do a credit check. It won't affect normal travel abroad

I think that's a n American phrase that some of the free services use instead of defaulted

In my experience, some CRA mark your file as "Delinquent" in the period between missed payments starting, and them defaulting you, so a prelude to default would be the answer.
