I have had a daytime bath, it's beginning to be a habit. And started working through the washing mountain, walked Poppet and got blown along really, freshened sofa covers, watered indoor plants, done dailies, changed bedding, dusted dressing table and bedside drawers, put away dry washing and s&sd bathrooms.
Have just caught up and realised that the comment I typed never got posted last week. So:
Congratulations Narco on the training going well. You sounded exhausted when it was finished so I'm glad all the hard work paid off.
You also sound completely exhausted ASB. (((Hugs))) Thank you so much for No Spend January. It made me much more mindful of how much I use spending money to solve a perceived problem, whereas I put my thinking cap on a few times and saved myself the £££s. I'm going to carry on with it, although I really do have to get my locks chopped at some point fairly soon.
That sink setup looks complicated Piggers, and the crack is a bit of a disaster, isn't it. I'm glad Mr Bunny was found.
Such good news that both of you are much better than you were Valli and Ionafan (although sorry to hear the wound is causing you some concerns Ionafan. Happy birthday to Mr Ionafan and I hope you all enjoy the lunch, including Rosie.
There must have been something in the air last night because I too was in the Wide Awake Club, which is very rare indeed. Sorry I missed you both Ionafan and FFP, but I did fill the biscuit tin up with homemade hobnobs for any other stragglers. Sorry about the state of the cushions - Layla was playing with them and always tosses any she finds on sofas and chair to the floor.
I've spent a good 20 minutes in the attic looking for a box of maps I absolutely know is up there, but can't find. I can't find a box of photographs either so at some point this spring or summer when it's warm enough and the cats are safely outside I need to go up there and shift everything about. There will be major flingage and reorganisation so I can see behind things more easily. Very very frustrated by having to look for things. I regard it as completely wasted time.
Thanks for your kind words and lovely messages of support. I really don’t know where I’d be without you all.
It’s been a rough few days. Relative also said something which has really, really cut me up. Why are people so unkind at times?
I am pushing on. I dismantled DS wardrobe and took it to the tip. I have also decluttered an absolute car full of stuff. Mainly things given to me by relatives that I have been too polite to say no to. It’s all gone now, and makes me feel so much better.
I am thrilled my NSD January has helped. I have ended on 23/31 which I super chuffed with.
**I WILL BE DOING NSD FEBRUARY AND AIMING FOR 25/28 NSDS. THE MORE THE MERRIER**❤️❤️
Well done on all counts, asb - you are an absolute star! Ignore silly comments from people (including relatives) who don't understand your chosen way of life xx Well done also to Honey_Bear on your NSDsx Good to hear that the training session went well, Narc0 x Glad you caught the rabbit before he caught the train, pigpen x Just show your WM a hammer, Crazycatlady - don't hit it, just threaten! That might work, but if not I hope it's still under guarantee x
DH, Rosie and I had a light lunch out in the newly opened café in the parkland belonging to our local stately home (Rosie was given two biscuit bones), then drove up to the NT car park near the top of the big hill, and walked all the way to the top and back again in well under an hour. That's a big improvement on our last visit when we couldn't make it to the top. I now have my eyes set on some even bigger hills - or perhaps I should just start from lower down this particular hill each time
Got home before the rush hour, cooked a nice easy meal, and now I'm going to play with the ancestors again
Your pics made me smile Pigpen and Iona, and I needed that.
Tough couple of days at the paid stuff, not sleeping well. Mad day yesterday having to take DS1 to the big city for his treatment in the middle of the day.
Oh and ASB you would be proud of me, I went into the stupidly expensive convenience shop near work this afternoon because I was hungry and didnt have any snacks, then put my basket back and walked out. I knew I could really wait until I got home!
Trying to do a bit of flying when I can. Also trying to be kind to myself. In the office on my own tomorrow, hoping for a quiet day.
Chicken ‘roughly’ stripped and risotto made for tea, carcass, with lots of meat still on, flung into my new-to-me stockpot with celery, carrot, onion, bay leaves (home grown and dried) and peppercorns and simmered until I remembered. Strained, meat stripped off and stock and meat in fridge to be made into soup tomorrow.
Bedroom vacuumed again, brush stripped of hair again.
I’ll be having my last chemo in Steel City on the 14th. They initially offered the 13th but I have a funeral.
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY
