I bought this one from Appliance City a few months ago and love it, one with a slightly different model number was up for 3k on Samsung website but I think its the same product and is within your budget. It does have water and ice but you can't see them from the outside. There is a beverage centre and the ice is made in two different sizes and stored in trays in the freezer. Apparently the right hand side of the freezer can also be made into a fridge but there's plenty of fridge space for us so I haven't really looked at that. Hopefully it will last us a long time...

Quick question @NatNat77, how wide are the internal dimensions of the freezer drawers please? I was concerned that they'd be too narrow for, say, a pizza box.

I think it'd be okay for most supermarket pizza boxes, although I haven't tried. And the door pockets are deep so I have managed to cram quite a bit in as you can see lol :

A pic of the ice trays for good measure! I love them but it's not always easy to scoop the ice out and some occasionally falls down the sides. It's a slight annoyance but doesn't detract from how much I love it for everything else. It's the only downside really. Oh apart from it won't shut up if you leave the door open for too long but I imagine that's standard? My main thing was that I didn't want one with a visible dispenser, especially a black one and living in a hard water area, so this was perfect 😊

Ah, thanks so much for that info!

That tape alone is helpful in answering my question, although I might look a bit odd when I start measuring boxes in Aldi!

Can you believe that, since you posted the link, it's gone up from £2,099 to £2,399!!!

We got the Haier HB16WMAA which cost us about £700 so well under your budget, but we were looking at stuff twice that price. It's not quite as wide as a full size American one, but that was a better fit for our space, and we liked the drawers (so you can fit a supermarket pizza in!)
It's performed flawlessly. Doesn't have the fancy stuff like a plumbed ice/water dispenser or a smart screen or such but we couldn't justify spending an extra £1000+ on that.

We've also just bought this one - not in use yet as awaiting new kitchen, but managed to get it sub-£2k as Samsung was running a cashback offer throughout December. The other French door contender was the Siemens kf96naxeag - similar price point but no water/ice dispenser, so it was a no brainer once the cashback offer came up.

Keep an eye on the prices - they do fluctuate regularly! £1999 at some retailers over Black Friday, then went back up to around £2500-£3500 in most online stores. Then Samsung launched the December cashback offer - most places maintained the high price, but one retailer had dropped back down to £2099. With the cashback, this made it even cheaper than black Friday. I'm sure the next offer is just around the corner!

I was also worried about the Samsung fridge reputation - however, they now offer a 20 year warranty on the inverter and I think a 5 year warranty otherwise, which is the main reason we decided to go for it. My folks have also had a Samsung fridge/freezer (with water/ice( for the last 20 years and have had no issues with it.

    Thanks all.

It's definitely a frontrunner, if I can persuade my OH that the drawers won't be a compromise against the large, 'open' drawers on a French door unit. I think I'd twigged about the fluctuation when you see that any number of offers, be it cashback, trade in or discounts get it to around the £2k mark even though it's starting price differs by about £500
