Good morning turtles
My focus for Feb will be to actually have some focus, so this challenge is perfect.
I will have a think today about it. I have lots of half-formed plans rattling around in my brain as usual and I’m lacking decisiveness.Student loan £5655

Morning all!!Happy Strike Day to all participating - DH is off to the picket line in a minute to go and do his thing. At least the weather is dry, so I am going to stick a load of laundry on the line, and walk down to Herr Ron and have a mooch for bargains. It will count as exercise as it will be a nearly 5km round trip, Not a bad way to start the morning. It might even count as fun (my social life is dire). This afternoon I plan to go and have a look at some c/s I do not usually go near as the prices are ridiculous, but they are on the way to the library, and I want to pop in to read the walls.I start the month with a full tank of petrol, and the plan to buy a surprise sofa bed while DH is at a conference in another country. Surprise!@Thrifty_Taylor did the roof survive????4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Hello Apple Muncher,
I would like to join in this month please. I've been away from MSE for probably a decade but have felt the need to get back in here as things have got a bit messy. I am very disorganised but then my life isn't exactly normal. On top of that I am now almost 60 and I am having some issues with fitness, focus, finances! I'm having mornings where I wake up with a sinking feeling. Our boiler broke before winter and whilst I'm trying to be tough about it, it has been miserable. Today though is bright and sunny and the start of a new, fresh month and it does feel like we are on the home straight to Spring and I have jumped in here with my two big feet!
I hope that's okay?

First day was a flop 🤣I was up most of last night tending to DS who was very unwell with a continuous cough, being sick, and going from hot to cold (pyjamas on, pyjamas off). About 2am we did a covid test on him - negative.I woke up this morning feeling a bit ropey. Kept DS off school and let him rest on the couch playing games while I opened my laptop and worked for about half an hour…I’ve spent the entire day between the loo and my bed cuddling a bucket. Mum rescued DS from the house around 11.Before I opened my laptop though, I did do 10 minutes with YWA… a hand and wrist stretch. But I’ve lost my NSD… OH nipped to the shop for his dinner. We had nothing meal planned for tonight because he was meant to be going to the football and I’d have just eaten whatever was lying about. But he’s sticking around to look after me and DS this evening.I’ve eaten nothing but cereal at breakfast but I can’t face anything right now. Even my beloved tea.Grateful today for having the house to myself to do my thing (although the fun isn’t over yet), for OH coming home from work early and forgoing his beloved football, and for Mum looking after DS.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸10
