No, I use Wise for some transactions from the US. It's fine. USD is transferred to my Wise account using the ACH number Wise supplies for it and it's straightforward and instant to convert it to GBP and then transfer from my GBP Wise account to a domestic account here.BeeTree said:Thanks all. Seems that Wise have the best exchange rate at the moment.
1 GBP = 1.23675 USD
1 USD = 0.808407 GBP
Seems that Brie is the only one who is using Wise on here at the moment but with some difficulty due to her account country.
Anyone else had experience of using Wise to convert USD to GBP and transfer the funds to a UK bank account?
In the last year or so Wise's fee has been creeping up but it's been reliable for me and I don't have any complaints.1 -
Wise will charge you fees so I would be careful to calculate what is the net amount you are actually getting.BeeTree said:Thanks all. This is very much appreciated.

I do similar, but do ACH transfer into Wise, and then another transfer from my Wise USD account straight into my domestic UKP account. One less step, and same cost (from what I see). Also reliable for me.wmb194 said:
