Parking firms and legals read this forum.  We are so successful that they detest us and what we do.

OK, good to know - I will bin it.  TY for the reassurance
You should never "bin" anything in this process

I got a ticket in Scotland from Parking Eye in Oct 2022, ignored the various requests and appealed based on the fact that I pulled into the car park to take an urgent phone call but did not actually park in the car park.  Obvs the camera must be on the entrance.  I have proof that I took the call from the Trading Standards Office about a rogue trader.  I have since heard nothing from "Parking Aye" ... until now when I have a letter from Direct Collection Bailiffs Ltd asking for £170 two years later.  They threaten court action.  Any thoughts on what I might do?

See attached letter below. (Removed by Forum Team)

You already have a thread about this parking incident...
          forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6418843/parking-aye

Please continue all discussion on that thread and change the title of this thread to something like -

              Duplicate thread - please ignore

Meanwhile, the fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collector's letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.
But you already know that - it's on your other thread.

There's no option to delete this thread so I changed the title.  So you are still saying ignore them?  That's what I wanted to check.

Ignore debt collectors letters, its really that simple, debt collectors are powerless, the advice for Scotland hasn't changed in over a decade, perhaps it will next year, but shouldn't affect historical cases anyway

If you're in Scotland you can ignore this. It will fizzle out, but you may get a few more 'scary' letters from DCB Limited.  There's no keeper liability at the moment north of the border, so don't get into any correspondence where you might inadvertently identify the driver.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Discussed in detail on loads of threads. No need for another discussion because the advice hasn't changed.
