I emailed the court and they confirmed that the claim has been discontinued and the hearing has been vacated. 👍
Now... has anyone succeeded in getting DCB Legal and/or UKPC to pay damages for wasting people's time? UKPC no longer had a contract with the land, and they showed no evidence that the driver left the site. If DCB had done their background research they would have known that there was no valid claim in the first place. Shall I just invoice them for my time?0 -
Well, they sent you a "speculative invoice" so why not? You could send a letter before action if they don't pay, followed by a Small Claims N1 form! [Adds emoji of tongue in cheek]2

This abuse of the court system is why we need to lead change with that Inquiry. Did my submission today.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
