RWG Mobile Voicemail

Just wondering if anyone is using voicemail on RWG?

I followed the instructions to dial *123*1# to turn on voicemail and a message says it is enabled. When I dial 269 the reply is that there is no mailbox for my number.

RWG say that it is activated.

What happens if you phone your phone from another and don't answer it, does it let you leave a voicemail?

A message saying that the Now mobile is not available, please try later. No option to leave a message.

Just tried and working fine for me, tried ringing my daughter's phone (switched off) and tried ringing my own number. Each time "your call has been forwarded to the nowmobile messaging service..." I have done nothing to set it up.
Not a phone setting is it?

  • Is your mailbox number set? The number you need is +447870020555

Hi, yes I have checked with that number in the settings but it gives the same answer that there is no mailbox for my number.

I'm wondering if this is because I ported a number into RWG some time ago but the voicemail system hasn't been configured for the new number? I try asking RWG again I think.

    That isn't the number I have got. The number I have got is the one on their faq page;

Dial 269 from your RWG Mobile phone to enable, set and listen to voicemail
To check your voicemail when overseas please dial +44 7973 102 269
To disable voicemail dial *123*2# from your keypad
To enable voicemail dial *123*1# from your keypad

Actually i have got their full number and I haven't put that in, it must have updated automatically as I have never turned voicemail on or off

From a quick search that number appears to be plusnet mobile?

Rwg website says call 269 to setup voicemail and listen to messages. I can't remember setting it up but I have just dialled it and get through to voicemail.

Did you get to the bottom of this? I have a phantom voicemail alert that won't go away. RWG advised me to email them with my details to request a mailbox reset which I did, then I never heard from them again. It's even followed me onto a different phone so I thought I'd disable it, re-enable it and see if that worked. I disabled it but it won't re-enable so I now have no voicemail. I would happily have traded a working voicemail to get rid of the alert but it's still there.

Literally every number RWG number I try now either drops my call or says connection problem or invalid MMI code. The only one that works in the info text to check bundle allowances.

I've since read that leaving myself a voicemail, listening to it and deleting it might flush the alert out but cannot try that with a mailbox that refuses to reactivate.

I ported into RWG around 13 months ago.
