I have seen things listed though, that have bids on them but have somehow also managed to keep their BIN. Can anyone tell me how that works? It's really annoying as I was watching a camera (and had bid) but someone got it by choosing the BIN a few hours before it ended. Grr.
What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!

DFD - WAS: a while ago

NOW - not sure, due to boyfriend going back to uni for masters and now pgce. Worth it in the long run!
Proud to be dealing with my debts!

If there are bids annd BIN is still present then the item has a reserve whioch has yet to be reached. Otherwise as soon as first bid is made the BIN will disappear.

    Hope this explains it.

For all my time on EBay, I never realised that was how it worked. :)

i am a very experienced ebayer so if i can help anybody just let me know also ebay approx 6 months ago introduced a minimum reserve of £50
    1. to boost its fees against reserve price auctions
    2. to increase sales on lower price auctions as no reserve allowed so more items will sell
need to have a lightbulb moment
