I have seen things listed though, that have bids on them but have somehow also managed to keep their BIN. Can anyone tell me how that works? It's really annoying as I was watching a camera (and had bid) but someone got it by choosing the BIN a few hours before it ended. Grr.What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!

If there are bids annd BIN is still present then the item has a reserve whioch has yet to be reached. Otherwise as soon as first bid is made the BIN will disappear.
Hope this explains it.0 -

i am a very experienced ebayer so if i can help anybody just let me know also ebay approx 6 months ago introduced a minimum reserve of £50
1. to boost its fees against reserve price auctions
2. to increase sales on lower price auctions as no reserve allowed so more items will sellneed to have a lightbulb moment0
