Evening ladies
Monday done and dusted. I have:
- done 6 hours paid stuff
-‘dropped things at the chazza and at the clothing bank
- collected allotment veg from a kind friend
- went food shopping shock horror! I went just at perfect Morrisons yellow sticker time - total spends for this month so far on food £12.67. Thrilled with this. Best bargain was x2 Six pint bottles of milk at 53p each, so 12 pints of milk for £1.06, absolute bargain. Both still have two days on them! One in fridge one in freezer. Also punnets of grapes for 20p!Allowing myself up to £20 spend so £7.33 left for this month food budget.
Am expecting animal feed bill in next few days, now THAT will be horrendous… smallholding is a very VERY expensive hobby but unfailingly rewarding.
Hugs all round xx12 -
Took car to garage. Walked quickly just under a mile up the road from garage to C0sta (had a free drink), with laptop and work, to wait for Mr N to pick me up. Garage rang later - about £1200 gulp, which was more than we'd expected/hoped, although we will get some discount for parts as we have a service plan. They are fully booked until the service date we booked (Feb 8) but have offered to keep it - as it is deemed unsafe to drive - and do it in between other cars, which is good of them.
Started the next report.
Printed off info for this week's assessments.
Went to dental hygienist.
Took thermal camera back. Had a bit of snow.
Dropped in at M£t£lan as we had a 20% off voucher. I got a T-shirt for £3 which is very similar to my beloved baggy one I always put on after lake swim and is now more hole than T-shirt. Just maybe I will throw the other away.....the phone call from the garage came while I was in the shop so I didn't dare spend any more money.
Rang my Mum.
Did a bit of kitchen tidying.
Dug out a 'frozen leftovers' from the freezer. We are still trying to use up freezer/cupboard stuff but will need some fresh veg and fruit soon, as well as eggs and Fl0ra.
Did a quick review of calendar to share out use of Mr N's car. No major clashes; I will forfeit Wed am gym class and he will forfeit his voluntary work on Thurs am.
Did some drum practice.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Well…I’ve read Mrs Harris goes to New York in two sessions! I often used to lose myself in a book, but when my sister was ill, and after she died I could no longer do that. Since Christmas I’ve read two books, completely absorbed by them both too.HHI done.
attended first - and last - physio appointment, I have been discharged but if I do have an issue in the next couple of months I can phone for an appointment. There’s no muscle or tendon damage, and I apparently do not need to do anything as it all looks so good. What I’m not to do is lift my arms up and back and then thrust as if shooting in netball or reach behind while looking forward ie to back of car. I have no pain and strong muscles identified by doctor in casualty have been confirmed by physiotherapist and scan.FFP games…teddy tombola…collect some donated s/h soft toys, wash them then wrap in cellophane for a tombola.I hope you have plenty of dancers and helpers to man stalls
selling outgrown leotards etc (washed obvs)
other games Lolly lotto…where every entrant picks a lolly…and some lollies have a colour on and you win a prize. You need a box with holes for the lollies so you can’t see the sticks.
Hire out stalls to local crafters/businesses at £20 a stall plus a raffle prize donated for your raffle? People who sell us borne books/body shop at home would be good stallholders.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all
Day at home today so the hens will be deep cleaned first job, closely followed by the downstairs of the house! Jolly cold, -5, so the fire will be lit soon as well.I won’t be spending today as not going anywhere so I’m at NSD 12/31. My aim is 25, so I’ve only got one more spending day ‘allowed’ this month, eeek! But it wouldn’t be a challenge if it was easy. Take care all xx9 -
Morning all. Late in but thanks for the list.
Admin first this morning then as much flying as I can fit in before meeting friends this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -

Morning all.Hard frost here as well, but thankfully no white stuff (yet…) as I have to take my car to big town (eek) to see if the lights need adjusting. Sick of being flashed at (ooh er, missus), but it is nowhere by far everybody, so it might just be the idiots who always think they know best on the road. If I get the lights looked at, then at least I will know. Ouch to the car repair cost, Narc0. That sounds horribly like my car this time last year.
Bedding changed, wm x 1 on, yesterday’s wet washing being juggled. We have somebody coming to measure up our kitchen this morning. That is a big Eek. DH seems to be on board, but all I know is that it will cost a)more than we think and b)more than we can afford. This job has been on the list for 17 years as a priority… I should have thought before I cooked curry last night, so I am desperately trying to evacuate the aroma this morning.
Have a good day all9 -
Beautiful day here, blue sky and sunshine - but at 8.30 it was minus 6.9 outside, and it's still below minus 1 and icy. Brrrrr!
I have decluttered yet another visit to he surgery, this time for my Long Term Condition review. Which of my many conditions would that be, then? Turned out to be for a blood pressure check - which was normal!
DH is off to SW. Rosie is sleeping under the piano. I have phonecalls to make, ancestors to sort, and something to conjure up for tea from a packet of mince. Lunch will be scrambled egg and mushrooms on toast.
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round. Please take care if you're going out for any reason xxx9
