It's a shame. I revoked all my consents immediately after seeing that email.

A bit gutted to get the email. I only got the one payout and now stuck on 3300 points with 4 more renews only 2 days away. I bet the new system will be a lot poorer and might be ages away anyway. How do you get on Pulse? Invite only?

Did exactly the same. No money = no data

There is no way that I will keep doing 50p surveys if there is no other earning alternative. Sad, another good and reliable earning opportunity goes down the drain. Let's see what's next and any new system will for sure not pay a generous 5er.

Yeah, no chance. Safe isn't really worth it either being only 50p per "scan".

I've got like 2000 points in my account at the moment. Might continue to do stuff till I can cash out, but after that it's just not worth the time.

No confidence the new thing they'll add will be any where near as kind either. Bet they'll drop the points given like a rock.

Edit: Have also revoked all the accounts too.

I'm making £1 a week from "Safe" for little effort - letting YouGov see my viewing history for Netflix, Disney +, Apple TV, and Prime Video.  I don't have active subscriptions for the latter two and haven't watched them for at least 6 months, but they still pay out.  Another £6 a year for sharing Amazon purchases and YouTube.

If they stop paying out for "Safe", I will definitely stop doing the surveys.  It used to take me years to get to £50 on surveys alone.
  • Pity but the timing could have been a lot worse, not due any reconsenting for a while. I'll wait and see what transpires with the 'new' system and (very) slowly work my way towards the £50.
  • I, like some others, have been fortunate enough to renew all my accounts last week, but am now over 1500 points away from my next Reward. That's 30 surveys minimum, all asking same question about voting and politics 🤦‍♂️
Ah well, got £300 out of it, so can't complain. Was late to the party.

    Revoking consent now.

£35.05  for me and was ~2 weeks from another round of points.

Very poor of them. When other cashback type services have ceased they've either:

    a) Given notice - which might have prompted people to make an extra effort to make it to the payout threshold.
    b) Announced an immediately available replacement, not just vague plans for one
    c) Given extra credits as a goodwill gesture

and sometimes more than one. If they weren't going to do any of these things, they could have at least offered a limited window to cash out what was there.

I'd happily give my Netflix and Amazon history to Safe to speed up the process of getting to £50, but don't seem to have the option for it when I log into YouGov. Installed Pulse last week and the 100 point survey that appeared didn't even credit any points.

How did you get an amount of less than £50 paid out?

I think it is disappointing that they stopped this gravytrain but I am really suprised they didn't do it earlier. It must have costs them a minor fortune, for probably very little value as the accounts we let them monitor weren't 'real' accounts in the main. Comparing yougov.finance with other 'cashback' sites seems a bit unfair as I don't think there has been any other site as easy to make money from as yougov.finance

If they delayed this change for 15 more days I would have pocketed my last £50... Never mind, nothing lasts forever, got some cash from this bribe and happy with it.
