I've not had any issues with Santander and Yougov £50 rewards, over the years I've had a fewwmb194 said:
Stop using Santander? So many tales of woe begin, 'Santander...' I haven't had any issues so far with YG payments to Lloyds.Bazzalona13295 said:I know this has been mentioned before but why do some banks (well.....Santander) have to carry out 'further checks' to YG payments?
Seems odd.0 -
Yougov payment looks to have gone through fully. 48 hours.......
Put it in another account next time.0 -
Finally getting round to looking at getting this set up. I’m going to set it up with 10x current accounts or credit card accounts rather than savings so as to get the max 5000 points per quarter but just wanted to check a few things:
- how ‘active’ does the account generally have to be to be deemed acceptable for points? Some of my current accounts / credit cards have 1 transaction per month - though with quite a long history - so wondering whether this will be sufficient? I can see their website refers to a minimum number of transactions but can’t see anything on how many.- for current accounts that have not had any transactions for a while, anyone have a general idea of how long before they would be deemed active from the point where I started to do a few transactions? Website says accounts must be at least a month old hence if I did a few transactions over the course of the next month then tried to connect then should be successful (in theory!).
- presumably every three months when you reconnect then the accounts will be ‘tested’ for whether they are active or not / have had minimum number of transactions else would be rejected even if accepted the first time?- is it best to connect accounts one by one every few days to try and help you work out which one was rejected as I don’t recall from reading previous posts on this thread that Yougov tell which which ones are rejected?Thx0 -
My nationwide credit card with one transaction per month was rejected for too little activity.
I was informed straight away, so no need to wait days in between.
I have no idea how their algorithms work tbh, to give any advice on what is active.
I manipulate a few of my current accounts by sending £1 from bank A to bank B on a Monday, then return it on a Thursday, all through standing order , and that gives minimum 8 transactions a month on each account 🤷♂️1 -
Just added three accounts now, all three say ‘successfully added’ and 500 points on their way in next 48 hours. Is this essentially a provisional award of points and in 48 hours they might come back and reject one or more of them based on being inactive? One of the accounts successfully added has a zero balance and no transactions in last 2-3 months so would have expected that not to qualify.0

In 48 hours you should have your points1

Their algorithm for deciding the eligibility of accounts is a deep and mysterious thing.tg99 said:Just added three accounts now, all three say ‘successfully added’ and 500 points on their way in next 48 hours. I successfully added an Ulster Bank current account last week that has had zero activity since I opened it (for a switch bonus) at the beginning of March.1 -
Yep I was fully expecting mine to get rejected for being inactive hence wasn’t sure even after success whether this could then be reversed. Will try some of my other accounts now that also have had zero activity for months.flaneurs_lobster said:

Looking to add Virgin M+ current accounts - anyone had luck with this? When I select Virgin it says only for sort codes starting 08 (mine are all 05) and to go back and select Yorkshire Bank or Clydesdale Bank from the TTP list but they don’t seem to appear as options to select when I return to this list.0

No, Virgin needs to update its Open Banking system to reflect the new reality of its online banking system, but doesn't appear to have any plans to do this.tg99 said:Looking to add Virgin M+ current accounts - anyone had luck with this?
