Could one make a complaint to the ASA over the "free parking" statement when there are PPCs hired to trap unsuspecting guests?patient_dream said:Cheap as chips are UKPC. Just pay it, and it's gone.
HOWEVER, i would be writing to the CEO telling him why you will never stay in a Travelodge again as he employs parking scammers ...... . I'm sure he must know that Premier Inn are currently advertising that they have over 500 hotels with free parking

Just pay it and move on3

Perhaps, but then the OP would have to waste even more money on a stamp...Half_way said:I would query this with travelodge, and stay within the 7 day limit.
Can you pay by cheque?2 -
I agree. The answer for anyone booking a hotel, even online, is to phone the hotel and ask if they have parking vermin is on siteMothballsWallet said:

I always do this and if they say YES, I cancel the booking telling them why. I simply cannot be asked to spend money with a hotel who has no respect towards a customer.2 -

If a hotel is the right price in the right location , reviews ok etc and has all i need who cares about the parking firm on site, it doesn't interest me one bit

Yes agreed @grizebeck. I often use Travelodge and some of their sites are infested and some not. I am though always very careful to make sure the receptionist enters my reg correctly and take a note of his/her name and the time of registrationGrizebeck said:

Except the receptionist/customer services person probably doesn’t care. I think if you are cancelling bookings for that reason, it needs to go higher up the chain than whoever is on the front desk at the time to have any chance of anyone taking the blindest bit of notice.patient_dream said:

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
I agree with the recommendation to pay their cheeky fiver and cancel out the hassle.

Thanks for all the advice. Just paid the £5 to at least shut up UKPC.. I've been informed in a very matter of fact way that Travelodge Customer Services have no intention of paying the "Ticket Cancellation Fee" or helping further. Camberley Central Travelodge have hidden behind a wall of silence and no names so it was funny that they were happy to pass on the name and email of a UKPC employee.
Anyway, I will now contact the Travelodge CEO (I have some spare time) and pass on some of the thoughts on here. The ASA route looks interesting also.4 -
You are so wrong. there are 100's of hotels who do not have parking vermin .... right price and right location.Grizebeck said:

I'm happy, you seem to be happy, just think about those who are not happy with the money scam at hotels
