When mother got forgetful, the cats were on to a good thing because they realised that she could be persuaded to feed them, again, and again, and again.
It was quite expensive.0 -
Found cheaper brands
I'm looking up cat food brands for our kittens who will be one year old soon, as they'll need to swap from kitten to adult food. Do you know of any low to mid-priced brands which do not have added sugar?Nelliegrace said:
SIL buys posh cat food from the vet which contains sugar.
The cat now has diabetes.
SIL now pays for blood tests, in patient care, medication, and even more expensive cat food from the vets, which also contains sugar.

We fed ours Arden Grange dry chicken which we bought as a regular order from Amazon. It has gone up in price recently. There was never any fuss about eating it.0

Plenty of good quality food around that doesn't cost a fortune.nickkohl said:I would rather pay for high quality dog food than insanely high vet bills down the line for feeding him low grade cheap food. I'll do anything for my dog's health and happiness.
You need to check what you are feeding
My dogs have had Skinners & Harringtons dried complete for some years. Buy online and by the sack not silly little packets in the supermarket.
my 'old girl' was 16 this week
If you buy food that is labelled 'for working dogs' then that is VAT free
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Cut backHaven't 'cut back'. I feed raw which is cheaper than most branded and better for the animal.0
